Height 194 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The clock case is in generally good condition with only minor losses to the veneers. These should be visible from our photographs. The only real issue with the case is that the oak bottom plinth and bracket feet are clearly later replacements. The movement itself is 8 day and there is no visible evidence that it has ever been anything else despite the fact that we would have expected a 30 hour movement rather than an 8 day. The chapter ring is held in place by four latched pillars which are evident at the rear of the dial. We have not had the clock operating, however when weight is applied to the strike and going train the clock appears to function as it should.
