Twelve 19th century fairings to include 'Before English Neutrality 1870-71 attending the wounded', 'Oysters Sir?', 'A pleasant termination to happy evening', 'Can-can', 'Returning at one o'clock in the morning' and 'Waiting for a bus''Waiting for a bus' - £500 price tag on the back, condition good; 'For three legs' - minor paint rubbing but porcelain appears good; 'Taking the cream' - firing cracks around necks of both figures that look original and are not deemed subsequent damage; 'Can can' - there is, in the auctioneer's opinion, a glazed crazing that appears as a hairline to the drum-shaped seat that the female subject is on but this appears just glaze crazing not actual damage; 'English neutrality' - some minor paint loss and a small horizontal firing crack to the neck of the figure lying on the ground; 'Oysters Sir?' - very minor rim fritting to edge of plinth base otherwise good and small piece away to top of sign saying Oysters! otherwise good; 'A pleasant termination to happy evening - very small match-head sized chip away (historic) only really visible to underside of base, small chip to far right object on floor to right of seated male otherwise OK; 'After' - vertical firing crack visible to underside in corner angle; 'Returning at one o'clock in the morning' - the standing female figure has lost the item originally in raised right arm; 'the figure '......fall to the ground' - small match-head sized porcelain chip away to underside base corner (historic) viewed from the rear the red cloak hanging over the chair appears to have a horizontal hairline running right across the cloak approx. 1 cm up from the bottom, in the auctioneer's opinion this has had some re-colour restoration at some point; 'The organ boy' - very dark to underside with two discernible hairline cracks (please see images) largish chip away to inside left hand plinth base (as viewed from the front) historic firing crack to prop that male figure is against, kiln grit prevalent in glaze. To a certain degree there are mostly minor paint losses to some of the fairings.
Twelve 19th century fairings to include 'The attentive maid', 'The broken hoop', 'The wedding night', 'The Welsh tea party', 'Kiss me quick' and 'Oyster Day''The attentive maid' – a small match-head sized chip to underside of left-hand front base, historic firing 1.5cm crack vertically to green skirt, some paint rubbing and loss and probable female head away and re-affixed with restoration and new colours etc.; 'The Welsh tea party' – some gilt rubbing to plinth base, paint loss to back of one hat otherwise original condition; 'Now ma-am say when' - a 1cm arch-shaped flat piece of porcelain away from the end of the title, small match-head sized chip away to underside of plinth base (rear left) otherwise seemingly in original condition; 'The girls of the period' - female with blue dress paint rubbing / losses and half of right-hand handlebar missing, some further paint rubbing commensurate with age otherwise looks pretty original; 'If old age could' - some kiln grit in glaze otherwise good; ‘Cancan’ – some minor gilt rubbing otherwise OK; ‘Three o’clock in the morning’ – very minor flat chip away to underside plinth base (rear right), some minor paint rubbing and loss otherwise good condition; ‘Open your mouth and shut your eyes’ – figure in blue jacket raised hand some glazing away probable restoration to object in boy’s mouth (different colour), restoration also to boy’s right hand leg; ‘Oyster Day’ – restoration to left-hand standing female right hand and arm, small restoration to top of right-hand fence support as visible from back, some minor paint rubbing; ‘Kiss me quick’ – broken neck to flask on tray, minor firing crack to left of female’s shoe, some paint rubbing otherwise OK; ‘The wedding night’ – female head completely away and re-affixed and coloured out, new colour on back of neck/shoulders also; ‘The broken hoop’ – taller figure with restoration and later colour to both legs. To a certain degree there are mostly minor paint losses to some of the fairings.

A Pair of Victorian Mahogany Pedestals, the moulded tops above arched cupboard doors enclosing drawers, shelves and a sliding tray, each on plinth base, 19th century and adapted, 62cm by 59cm by 92cmCondition report: Pedestal one - natural? split/shrinkage split at the front (see images). Left-hand panel and right-hand panel with small natural? splits (see images). The cupboard door is very slightly misshapen at the top, it is OK when closed and locked. Pedestal two - better condition, there is a very small natural split to the front-right hand corner. There is some movement to the moulding on the arched cupboard door.
^ An Islamic-Style Gilt Decorated and Jewelled Casket, early 20th century, decorated with paste stones and sequins, the hinged lid enclosing a red painted interior, with metal clasp and side carrying handles, 68cm by 43cm by 40cmCondition report: Very fine shrinkage split to the top. There is a further shrinkage split to the left-hand corner of the lid and scuffs around the base. The chest we assume has had a plinth base as section is now detached.
A 20th Century Mahogany Four-Door Breakfront Library Bookcase, the arched pediment above a dentil cornice and four moulded astragal glazed doors enclosing a velvet lined interior, the base with four moulded cupboard doors, on a plinth base, 247cm by 59cm by 261cmCondition report: Fair condition. The glazing is fine, with signs of repair to some of the astragal glazing/moulding (see image). General scuffs mainly around the base consistent with age. There are faults to the moulded cupboard doors, ie some moulding is missing. The bookcase is open, but there is no key. The dentil cornice with various sections missing (see images).

An Italian Cup, by Miracoli, Milan, 20th Century, Stamped '750', tapering and with two scroll handles, on onyx base, the base applied with a gold plaque engraved with an inscription, the cup 22.5cm high, weighable gold 12oz 17dwt, 399grCondition report: Marked near rim and on plinth with maker's mark 6MI, further stamped with maker's name and trade mark and '750'. In our opinion would test as gold. The marks are clear. There is some surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. The inscription reads 'U.N.I.R.E. Gran Premio Roma Capannelle 9 novembre 1997'.
A George V Silver-Gilt Cup and an Elizabeth II Silver-Gilt Cover, The Cup by Pairpoint Brothers, London, 1914, The Cover by C. J. Vander, London, 1956, in the George III style, tapering and on spreading foot, the lower body lobed, the rim with a band of fruiting grapevines on a matted ground, with two scroll handles, the detachable cover part-fluted and with foliage finial, on mahogany finish base, 23.5cm high including base, 16oz 12dwt, 517grCondition report: The cup marked near handle. The cover part marked on bezel. The marks on each are clear. There is some surface scratching and wear overall, consistent with age and use. The wear is noticeable as a softening to the gilding. There is a bruise to the stem so the cup leans slightly and another to the base which causes the cup to rock slightly when placed on a flat surface. There are some scratches to the plinth. The cover fits snuggly and was presumably made specifically for this cup.
