The left hand cornice top section of moulding is missing and there is some veneer damage to the left hand corner of the frieze. The doors are not warped and close as they should. The centre edging strip has a partial break and is loose but there are no losses. The sides of the top are in good order. The same comments apply to the base. The shelf beneath the cupboard doors have some minor surface scratches. The secretaire drawer is in generally good condition. The leather is a little worn along the seam. The doors beneath are not warped. The centre edging strip is missing. The plinth base is in generally good order all round. The backboards are original. We can see no evidence of any woodworm.

The case is in generally good condition with only minor blemishes. There is a stress fracture to the join running vertically on the bottom front panel.
