A pair of three-dimensional calendars, Dundee: Valentine's Novelty Calendars, 1939 & 1949, together two calendars, colour-printed illustrations mounted on thick card slotted into a wooden base, that for 1939 with a small girl holding a trug of fruit and flowers and a puppy on a chain lead, against a semi-circular starry sky on which the paper calendar is mounted (latter somewhat toned and creased), slightly rubbed in places, wooden plinth with mounted caption: '"Let's thank our lucky ole star - things ain't no 'wusser' than wot they are."', 28 x 20cm (11 x 8ins), that for 1949 with a small boy holding a bindle, the calendar mounted on a wooden signpost with label lettered 'the road to happiness', slightly toned overall, wooden plinth with mounted caption (slightly chipped to one end, but no loss of text): '"I'll see you there!" by Mabel Lucie Attwell', 26.5 x 19cm (10.5 x 7.5ins) Two rare pieces of Attwell ephemera.
