A box of decorative Chinese items to include: a carved jade model of a recumbent stag, a black slate artist`s box decorated with characters and landscape, a cloisonne model of a crane, two seals and two boxed earthenware figures, together with a table screen decorated with deer and landscape and a rectangular marble topped tray with hardwood plinth.
A part-late 18th/early 19th century oak, boxwood inlaid and crossbanded longcase clock, having moulded cornice above a square glass enclosing a bell striking lantern clock-type movement, faced by brass dial named William Grimes, London. The trunk with narrow three quarter length door above a box base on bracket plinth.
A late 18th century walnut cased longcase clock the eight day movement striking on a bell, with square brass dial signed `John Waters London`, with silvered Roman chapter ring, subsidiary seconds, date aperture, pierced steel hands and gilt brass mask spandrels, the walnut case with flared moulded pediment over a square glazed door, the trunk with moulded arched door flanked by canted column pilasters, on a plain plinth base, 74.75in. A late Victorian ebonised musical bracket clock the engine turned brass dial with silvered Roman chapter ring and secondary chime/silent and Eight Bells/Westminster dials, the ebonised case with plain moulded top with gilt brass border, over a bevelled glass door and gilt brass floral lattice side grilles, on a plinth base with egg and dart gilt metal moulding, on four leaf capped ormolu bun feet, 12in. A fine early Victorian mahogany twenty four drawer clerk`s chest the sloped moulded top with raised gallery back, over a bank of twenty-four drawers, each numbered with an inset ivory roundel and with turned mahogany handles, set on a plinth base, 53.5in. Kate Denton (British, 20th century) William bronze, signed `K Denton 1982` and inscribed, mounted on a mahogany plinth 11in (28cm) high. Kate Denton was born in Sheffield and spent her formative years in Jersey. She trained at Goldsmiths College under Sir Ivor Robert-Jones, and is now living and working in Suffolk.
A Victorian walnut Davenport desk, with three quarter brass gallery to the hinged top opening to a fitted pen, ink and stationery aperture, with slope front and maple lined interior fitted with drawers, with scroll mouldings to front, flanked to the right by a panelled cupboard enclosing short drawers and raised on a plinth base with turned legs and recessed castors. Width 22 ins (see illustration).
A fine late Victorian/Edwardian bedroom suite, comprising wardrobe, dressing table and bedside cabinet, the wardrobe with inverted breakfront moulded dentil cornice with swag frieze beneath, with central bevelled mirrored door enclosing hanging space and flanked to the right by a full length well figured mahogany panelled door, with applied bellflower ornament and centre oval oil painted medallion with female musician, with three dummy drawers beneath and flanked to the left by a half length panelled door similarly decorated with three actual drawers beneath with brass drop handles, the whole raised on a detachable plinth base and eight turned feet. Wardrobe width 90 ins, height 89 ins, dressing table width 55 ins (see illustration).
A late Victorian oak bookcase, in two sections, the top half with a carved arched pediment and moulded cornice above a pair of glazed doors enclosing adjustable shelves, the base fitted with two drawers above a pair of foliate carved panelled cupboard doors also enclosing shelves and with plinth base beneath. Width 42.5 ins (see illustration).
A Victorian mahogany breakfront wardrobe, with detachable moulded inverted breakfront cornice above a pair of panelled cupboard doors with applied foliate scrolling mouldings enclosing a cupboard and with chest of four graduated drawers below with wooden knob handles and flanked on either side by a full length mirror door enclosing hanging space and with plinth base beneath.
