Marshall & Fils, Paris, a 19th century French gilt mantel clock: the eight-day duration movement striking the quarter hours on two bells and the hour on the larger bell, the backplate signed as above for the maker along with the trademark for the maker of the blanc roulant, Honore Pons, the round white enamel dial having blue Roman numerals, decorative centre and signed Marshall & Fils a Paris and with blued steel fleur-de-lys shaped hands, standing on an octagonal engraved gilt-brass pillar and on a square white marble plinth, with an ebonised base, under a glass dome (damaged), height 23cm, including base & dome.

Geoffrey Key (Manchester b. 1941)- 'Horse' Bronze sculpture, beautifully cast in a warm nutty brown and greening verdigris patination, the animal although of simple stylised form shows great power, strength and movement, sat on separate but original marble plinth base, the underside being signed by the artist and dated (19)89, horse approx 23cm high x 26cm long x 12cm wide, the base approx 30cm long x 15cm wide x 2cm high. Provenance: The Barn Gallery, Chestnut Farm, Kermincham, Cheshire, accompanying this lot is original bill of sale dated 17/10/91.
