§ Enzo Plazzotta (Italian, 1921-1981), bronze, "Grand National", modelled as a tumbling horse, number 1 of 9, 37.5cm Condition: Of even mid chocolate brown patination, some whiteish oxidisation marks and minor dirt marks and tiny scuff marks but essentially good condition, patina is slightly matted, mounted on the original black slate plinth which has a small chip to one corner
A 19th century Dieppe carved ivory figure of a 17th century gentleman, standing and wearing a ruff colour, height 30cm, height with plinth 36cm Condition: A little bleached with numerous fine lines of cracking, predominantly in the base but also through the back of the right leg and one or two through the face, possibly held a walking stick or similar in his right hand.
A George III cut steel fender, W.116cm, two other fenders and four assorted brass jardinieres Condition:- steel fender has lost one pin showing a hole just left of centre of the plinth, otherwise minor wear from use but essentially good- 107cm steel fender is a front only, has some empty pin holes and light oxidisation- 92cm brass fender with fair wear but otherwise good- Edwardian floral rim jardiniere, diameter 22cm, needs a good polish- Edwardian heavy pierced brass jardiniere, height 20cm, lacks tin liner otherwise good - early Victorian pierced brass oblong jardiniere with handles, length 20cm, lacks liner, just needs a polish- Edwardian floral embossed, possibly Dutch, brass oval jardinere, 30cm, needs a good polish
A William IV mahogany pedestal sideboard, W.122cm D.50cm H.91cm Condition: The varnish is faded and discoloured in patched all over, there is a water mark to the top, the lion mask ring handles are replacements, one of the cupboard doors, the pedestal is locked and we do not have the key, there are some losses to veneers around the edges of the drawers, general scuffing and wear to the sides and plinth, other in reasonable usable condition
A 17th century and later oak bible box, W.73cm D.40cm H.30cm Condition: The top has a horizontal split running through the length, the original lock has been replaced leaving two holes through the lid, in front of this there is missing moulding, the plinth foot is coming away at both front corners
A bronze garden statue modelled a classical maiden, standing beside a tree stump, H.115cm Condition: Light to mid chocolate brown patination with greenish patination to the tree trunk and base, base plinth has two holes drilled through it, front right and back left, back of the statue has a large hole drilled through it in her hair, perhaps this was to hold some sort of light fitting.
An Edwardian mahogany compactum wardrobe, with outswept cornice over two full height mirrored doors enclosing hanging spaces with brass hooks, flanking a central cupboard over four graduating drawers, all raised on a plinth base, labelled 'from Jas Shoolbred & Co', a/f poor condition and some handles missing, 188 by 58 by 210cm high.
A group of eight 1930s British army silver plated sporting trophies, all with circular wooden or plastic plinths, comprising of seven 15/19th Hussars trophies, largest 18 by 11.5 by 27cm high including plinth, including five with twin handles and two goblets, together with a Shorncliffe Garrison Horse show cup. A late 19th century Howard & Sons oak chest with two short and four long graduated drawers, on a plinth base, 121cms (48cms ) wide.Condition ReportDamage to both sides bottom back - left hand side with losses and right hand side split but attached, needs re-glueing. Top long drawer needs a slight lift to close properly, two pieces of moulding to top right short drawer detached but present. Nicks and scratches as you would expect, good overall condition.120cms width, 57.5cms depth, 120.5cms high.
