A late 19th century a French spelter? figural and barrel clock fashioned as a classical female in naturalistic setting and signed " Aurore". The eight day striking movement with a foliate detail enameled dial and Arabic numerals raised on a shallow stepped marble plinth raised on serpentine moulded out swept supports (51cms high, as viewed)

A silver Freedom Casket for the Borough of Colne, Birmingham c.1926, makers mark "V&S". Presented to Miss Christiana Hartley JP of Southport. Of bombe rectangular shape, the cover mounted with two enamelled shields depicting the Coat of Arms of the Borough of Colne, the body inset to the front with enamelled panel depicting the Hartley Hospital in Colne with a dedication inscription below. "Presented to Miss Christiana Hartley J.P. of Southport by the Town Council of the Borough of Colne. On her admission as an Honorary Freeman of the Borough on the 1st day of June 1927." The reverse side inset with two enamelled panels one depicting ColneTown Hall, the other Colne Parish Church. The whole resting on four silver bun feet on an ebonised wooden stepped rectangular plinth. 35.5cm x 19cm x 23.5cm. Note: Christiana Hartley was the first female Mayor of Southport 1921-1922 and the daughter of William Pickles Hartley of Hartley`s jam fame.
A Continental nephrite and silver-gilt table clock. In the style of Faberge serpent clock. Formed as an egg, with vase of flower to the top, with an enamelled numeral ring below, with a coiled serpent as the hour marker, The egg mounted with scrolling silver-gilt mounts, on a rectangular plinth with pierced silver-gilt panels. A most unusual domed Clock of small dimensions having polished brass/gilt finished case with reeded elevations and having five turned finials, the engine turned brass face with matted centre decorated with stylised flowers and foliage and marked "W. Grossmith", the rear of the movement viewed by a door, the latch with a mother of pearl button. 4 3/16" high x 2" wide x 2" deep and complete with a puce velvet surfaced ebonised plinth and dome (cracked.)
