Depicting the woman with curled hair and wearing a classical style robe. Marked to verso Richaud et Cie. Mounted atop stepped plinth base. Measures approx. 17.5cm x 11cm.

Samuel died in 1746 but relatively few of his clocks appear to have survived, but those that do show skill and care and quality of craftmanship.The case showing some signs of repair, particularly to the cornice. Lacking the board across the top. The cheek supporting the movement replaced or altered, therefore suggesting that the movement and case possibly associated. The movement seemingly complete, but dusty and in need of a clean, with some possible restoration. The plinth almost certainly later, being stained pine.

With brass mounts to the frieze and columns, leather-fronted drawers or filing boxes, and a later plinth base. 100cm wide x 52cm deep x 136cm high Qty: 1 Wear to the leather, particularly notable around the edges of the drawer fronts where the catches are. Three of the drawers with taped repair to the hinges at the bottom. One of the drawers comes free. In need of repair. Four of the drawers with brass mounts to the catches, the rest without. Keys to the locking plates on the edges not present. Some losses to the veneer around the edges of the base. Historic chipping to the edges of the marble top.

The second pair modelled as urns on square plinth bases, with a plastic covering.The first pair 32cm high to the fitting. The send pair with notable chipping, particularly around the rims of the bases, the plastic covering is yellowing however underneath the alabaster appears good and white.
