18th century Walnut long case clock by Francis Reynolds, Kensington, 12 inch arched brass dial with silvered chapter rings, cast brass spandrels and blue steel hand. Signed Francis Reynolds, Kensington in the silvered boss in the arch. The eight day movement has count wheel striking on a bell with anchor escapement, brass cased weights and brass pendulum. The case has a flat topped hood with pillars to the door and brass capitols. The door and base panel are veneered in burr walnut, the case mouldings are cross grained. Standing on a single plinth, date - Circa 1730, 224cm high Provenance - Purchased from the Clock Shop Weybridge in early 2000.
