A GERMAN CAP-A-PIE FIELD ARMOUR IN THE 16TH CENTURY STYLE, the two-piece close helmet with blunt visor pierced with two eye slits over the ridged and pierced face, the bevor securing to the skull and the visor with two hooked catches, the lower with turned and roped edges with domed rivet decoration, fitted with a plume holder to the rear, four-lame gorget with thick rope turned neck aperture, the gadrooned breastplate with raised medial ridge drawn out to a point, three-lame articulated waist, the upper chest and arm apertures with heavy roped edges, five-lame articulated tassets with turned and roped edges, matching backplate, fully articulated pauldrons, rerebraces, couters and vambraces all with turned and roped edges, the fingered gauntlets with short fixed flared cuffs with turned and roped aperture, the back of the hands composed of six articulated plates with roped knuckle defence, the fingers and thumbs composed of articulated plates, the cuisses, poleyn and greaves all formed and trimmed to match, fully articulated rounded sabatons. A very well made and proportioned Victorian armour, associated contemporary helmet. Plinth and stand not included.
