An impressive Victorian Minton majolica pedestal jardiniere stand of substantial proportions and naturalistic features, it's plinth surrounded by rams heads and with hooves for feet, with characteristic vivid turquoise, green, brown and mauve colouring. Pieces of this size became very fashionable after many were showcased at exhibitions, for example 'The Great Exhibition Catalogue of The Works Of Industry Of All Nations 1851' featured comparable Minton majolica stands.
