A bronze Roman-style statuette of Mercury (Greek Hermes) standing on a plinth; nude with cloak slung over the left shoulder, standing with weight resting on left foot and right foot drawn back, left arm hangs down and right arm extending forth money bag; youthful head with winged cap and short wavy hair. 1.75 kg, 26cm (10 1/4"). Victorian mahogany mirror back inverted breakfront sideboard with scrolling pediment, arched glass plate, moulded top over panelled doors raised on a plinth base, 215cm wide, 217cm high and 63cm deep. Condition Report There is two pieces of moulding to replace. Has one bubble in the top. The right hand central door is slightly warped. The trays are missing to the left hand pedestal. The sectional base needs cleaning, but good timber.
