A Motorcycle Trophy. A delightfully-crafted and well-detailed representation of a 1920s single-cylinder flat tank motorcycle, fashioned in silver, with an assay stamp of Birmingham dated 1929. Mounted on a black plinth, it incorporates an engraved assayed-silver plaque inscribed, 'Calder Valley M.C. - Dr Stephen Award - 1929. W. Naylor'. In need of cleaning, but charming. 4½-inches high
A LATE 19TH OR EARLY 20TH CENTURY FULL ARMOUR ON STAND, 187cm high including the wooden plinth, comprising associated salet, bevor, four piece breastplate with raised medial ridge and turned edges, one-piece tassets with linear decoration, chanelled and turned edges with domed rivets, fully articulated pauldrons, ribbed rerebraces, ribbed couters drawn out to a point, plain vambraces, fully articulated gauntlets, the cuffs drawn out to points and with ribbed decoration, ribbed cuisse, ribbed and articulated poleyn, plain greaves and fully articulated sabatons with rounded fronts, complete with a hand and a half broadsword.
A 17th century block fronted Jacobean oak bachelors chest of drawers. Raised on stile legs with plinth banded border. Above a straight fronted chest of 3 drawers with geometric moulded detailing and brass drop handles. Above a flared top with chamfered edging. Dovetail joint & tongue and groove drawer linings being of oak.
