Appointed Professor h.c. by the Bavarian Ministry of Education and the Arts in 1927. From 1937 to 1944, he showed numerous animal sculptures in the Great German Art Exhibitions in Munich, in which he participated with this eagle sculpture in stone (104 cm) in 1937.
