A mahogany cigarette dispenser,c.1930, in the form of a motor torpedo boat, the mechanism hinging on a Union Jack flag, with a gathering platform in the form of a step, on a rectangular base,52cm wide18cm highCondition report: Dowls missing to hold the gangway on. The bars on this are slightly bent. Areas of wear and marks to the plinth. Mechanism does'nt function smoothly - sticks open and has to be manually pushed down - its a rather crude construction - possibly foreign? More photos added.

It was the headquarters of the Underground Electric Railways Company, the forerunner of London Underground. Faced with Portland stone, the cruciform building is a great example of late 1920s Art Deco architecture, and has carvings by Jacob Epstein, Henry Moore and Eric Gill. The site is now waiting to be redeveloped into flats.Condition report: Rusting and spotting to edges, two man lift for each plinth - no idea what holes are for - possibly covered, thin tops are loose

Small chip to the back of the plinth. The barometer appears to work - bag test. Some spotting to the face of the dials.

Foot slightly loose to the base. The plinth has chip 3cm across the top. Another chip to one edge.
*Agatha Walker (1888-1980)Jean Forbes-Robertson in the role of Peter Panc.1930, a painted wax statuette, inscribed to the plinth35cm high43cm high overall, cased This wax figurine is modelled on the actress Jean Forbes-Robertson (1905-1962) in the title role of J M Barrie's 1904 children's play 'Peter Pan'. Jean Forbes-Robertson first played the part at the Gaiety Theatre, Christmas 1927, and subsequently became one of the best known actresses associated with the role, playing it at the Garrick Theatre, 1928/1929; at the St James's, 1929/1930; and at the Palladium for five consecutive Christmases, from 1930 until the end of the 1934/35 season. Other actresses took the part subsequently at the Palladium, but Jean Forbes-Robertson returned to play it for the last time there for the 1938/39 season.This is one of several wax figurines modelled by Agatha Walker in the 1920s and 1930s, mostly of actors and actresses in costume for roles in successful productions on the London stage. There had been a craze for ceramic figurines of performers in the 19th century and Walker attempted to revive this tradition with her limited edition sculptures. They were modelled from life in plaster and coated with a fine wax layer which was then coloured. In 1931 there was an exhibition of her wax figures at the Fine Art Society.*Artist's Resale Right may apply to this lot.Condition report: The figure has been reset to the base plinth. Evident cracks to the ankles and the sword - also to the blade 2/3rds up the sword. Chips to the hair. Some minor chips and wear to edges. The velvet base is discoloured and colour lost. The case is glass.

19th century pine linen-press, moulded cornice above two panelled doors enclosing shelves on base of three drawers, raised on plinth, 124 x 208cmCondition ReportNumerous surface scratches, scuffs and knocks to the wood. Chip to the bottom of the cornice. There is an area of loss to the front of one of the drawers. Wear around all knobs, areas of fading, discolouration and staining. The lock mechanism on the cupboard door has been replaced. General wear and tear commensurate with age and use. The wardrobe will be on the Wednesday 9th September at around 11:00 See photos.

There are some cracks and repairing done to the middle doors. The hangers in the middle of the right side are loose and the lock is missing off the door. General wear and tear throughout. The inner depth of the sides is 45 cm and the inner depth of the middle is 37.5 cm. See attached images.
