Lot 1817

An early 19th century mahogany inlaid musical longcase clock, the arched painted dial inscribed "Jno. Barnish Rochdale" above rolling moon phase and main dial set with Roman numerals and central dial inscribed "66th Psalm", "104th Psalm", "Evening Hymn" and "184th Psalm", the case with arched door flanked by inlaid pilasters above a plinth base, the movement striking on eight bells, height 263cm. CONDITION REPORT: Professionally restored throughout, so generally good. Appears complete and functional but we cannot guarantee accurate working order. From a local private collection.

Lot 1818

An early 19th century mahogany longcase clock, the broken swan neck pediment above arched painted dial set with date aperture, subsidiary seconds and eight day movement inscribed "R.Wyatt, Plymouth", above arched door flanked by fluted freestanding turned pilasters to a plinth base and bracket feet, approx 222cm. There is a Robert Wyatt listed as operating in London c.1811. CONDITION REPORT: Well restored throughout.

A 19th century oak and mahogany crossbanded longcase clock, the broken swan neck pediment above arched dial with painted floral spandrels, subsidiary seconds and Roman numerals, inscribed "John Bloor, Newcastle" above rectangular door flanked by quarter cut fluted pilasters raised on plinth base, height 225cm.

A late George III mahogany and satinwood inlaid longcase clock, the hood with broken swan neck pediment above arch dial with rolling moon phase and set with Roman numerals, housing an eight day movement above arch door, raised on a plinth base, approx height 240cm.

A rare late 17th century marquetry walnut longcase clock, the hood with moulded cornice above 11" square dial set with silvered chapter ring, seconds dial and date aperture, with detailed pierced corner spandrels and engraved "Chr. Gould Londini, Fecit" with eight day movement flanked by half cut ebonised gilt heightened pilasters above a long marquetry inlaid door centred with a bullseye glass to a plinth base, the inlay centred with an exotic bird amongst detailed floral sprays, height 216cm. Christopher Gould operated in London between 1682 and 1718.

An Arts and Crafts elm side cabinet in the matter of the Cotswolds School, the upper section with two panelled doors above a base of two panelled doors to a plinth, width 113cm. CONDITION REPORT: Height 168cm, depth 45cm. In inches it measures 43 x 18 x 66. Solid, a few cup rings, stickers on shelves, no other faults visible.

Lot 325

Attributed to FERDINAND PREISS; an Art Deco bronze and ivory figure of a female dancer, her cap, chest garment and shorts of bronze, the remainder of her body carved from ivory, unsigned, raised on onyx plinth, height 26.5cm (af). CONDITION REPORT: The figure is apart from her base, the tip of her right foot has been broken off and remains in the base, there are five age cracks to her legs, both arms are slightly loose, there is a small crack to the back of her neck and a few stress cracks to her arms and a chip to her left armpit. I would agree that the quality of the metal mounts is not superb, however the ivory is pretty good. Fingers complete. Base has two or three tiny nibbles but nothing significant. Arm span is 18cm.

Lot 645

A Royal Doulton figure group; HN2546 "Buddies", a Beswick matt glazed figure "The Spaniel" and a further figure group of a bulldog and puppy on a plinth inscribed "That's My Boy" (3). CONDITION REPORT: Appears good with no obvious signs of faults, damage or restoration.

A pair of late 19th century century ruby glass tinted table lustres with enamel floral decoration and two rows of seven cut glass drops, height 36cm, each on ebonised plinth on a glass dome. CONDITION REPORT: Wear to the decoration, domes are in good condition, a few drops are slightly damaged but generally in good condition.

A fine George V hallmarked silver Arts and Crafts enamel decorated presentation casket, the detachable lid with raised pediment enamel to the front, with silver initials on a white oval ground and inscribed "First Freeman of Borough", the reverse set with an enamel Lancashire rose, the silk lined base with two rectangular panels depicting Victorian buildings centred with an enamel armorial inscribed beneath "Industry and Prudence Conquer", the side ring loop drop handles centred with blue enamel roundels dated 1878 and 1928, the reverse with engraved plaque "Presented to His Worship the Mayor Alderman Thomas Edmond Higham JP. D.L. C.A. by the Aldermen & Councillors of the Borough of Accrington on the occasion of the celebration of the Jubilee of Incorporation, 1878-1928, 26th June 1928", overall raised on detailed hairy paw feet attached to an ebonised plinth, contained within a silk lined leather fitted case, hallmarked for Birmingham 1927, width of casket 31.5cm, width of base 40cm. CONDITION REPORT: Hallmarks slightly rubbed but distinct, otherwise appears good with no further obvious signs of faults, damage or restoration.

An unusual painted bust of a young boy raised on rectangular oak plinth and a slightly smaller example, height 32cm and 28cm (both af). CONDITION REPORT: Both nose tips have been removed, the smaller one has heavy wear throughout, the larger one has some areas of scuffing and losses to the raised parts such as the ears, both plinths are split and need of attention.
