STEWART LINFORD: THE CATHERINE OF ARAGON BOOKCASE, in carved and pollard oak, the shaped top above a relief carved frieze and open shelves upon a plinth base, 51.5" wide. See illustration. A suite of 'Catherine of Aragon' furniture was made by furniture maker Stewart Linford, from timber grown in the grounds on Kimbolton Castle, where the Queen lived. CONDITION REPORT: Mahogany salt box inlaid with conch shell - stress crack to shaped back, hinged top hinges sound, some surface scratching to front and bruising to lozenge inlay, right hand side tapering piece of mahogany inset as a repair, 14x1cms, inset repair to left hand side top approx. 2x5cms, 2nd mahogany salt box - hinges unusual and possibly replaced, surface scratching otherwise good condition. The oak and inlaid salt box - some exstant worm to right hand side, otherwise good condition.
A Victorian burr walnut and inlaid apprentice chest The rectangular crossbanded top inlaid with a satinwood and birds eye maple lozenge above two short and two long drawers raised upon a plinth base. 24.5x22x14cms. CONDITION REPORT: The rectangular top ring stain and some black staining in a 13cm diameter area, left hand side moulding piece missing approx. 9cm run, front colour and drawers good condition, back boards good condition, good overall condition.
A Victorian miniature chest of drawers The rectangular moulded top above two short and three long graduated drawers, brass roundel handles, raised on plinth base, 29x30x15cm. CONDITION REPORT: Inlay intact to top with the exception of back right hand corner approx. 1½cms of veneer at front, drawers good condition, some fading around the drawer framework in relation to the drawers, right hand side inlay lifting and missing to one section approx. 4x1cms, left hand side good condition, back good condition.
A Victorian mahogany miniature chest of drawers The rectangular moulded top above six short drawers, each with turned wood handles, raised on a plinth base, 45x25x18.5cm. CONDITION REPORT: Possibly reconstructed from two banks of drawers taken a dressing table, top formed from two pieces some scratching, rich colour, one handle missing to 4th drawer down right hand side, bottom left hand handle possibly replaced, sits on a plinth, no supports, saw mark right hand side, pine back old but possibly later attached.

CONDITION REPORT: Rectangular top some ink staining right hand side, one old cup stain mark barely visible, front good condition, handles, top four and bottom four at variance, some staining to right hand side, left hand side good condition, original plinth, no feet, shrinkage crack to back boards, good condition.
A Victorian oak walnut and parquetry apprentice chest The rectangular top with a triangular frieze of specimen woods, yew-wood border above a panelled cupboard door, the burr yew ground centred with a parquetry lozenge, inlaid spandrels enclosing four drawers, each veneered with specimen woods, raised on plinth base and bracket feet, 38x31x21. (illustrated) CONDITION REPORT: Lot 2053: The rectangular top good colour no veneer missing, signs of a stress crack running through the centre left to right, 32.5cm. Minor surface scratching, front door very good condition all inlays in tacked, bright colours from the interior of the door visible stress crack running top to bottom but not visible through the application of the veneers, each of the four drawers bight and good condition, hinges to door tight complete with lock, each drawer with velvet linings, sides good condition, plinth good condition, minor surface scratching original feet, good condition.
