A LARGE EARLY 20TH CENTURY LONGCASE CLOCK with brass and silvered 14" dial with Roman numerals, silvered subsidiary dial bearing Arabic numerals below pair of chime dials "Chime, Silent" and "Westminster, St Michael, Whittington", extensively carved hood and case with pair of turned columns capped with Gryphons flanking bevelled glass door containing three brass weights and silvered pendulum, 278cm high x 80cm wide x 39cm deep Condition Report:"Clock is in a Good overall condition with movement appearing intact and complete with three weights, pendulum (with wooden stem) and chimes (we cannot however guarantee any mechanical item)Case is in a fair condition with some losses to carved mouldings and repairs to plinth base"
the urn mounted top with griffin handles, upon a rectangular cushion plinth, the front corners with caryatid supports, the rear corners with acanthus topped columns, each with with fruit and vegetable topped urn finial, the dial with roman numerals, the whole upon acanthus scrolled feet, the candelabra garnitures each with four candle arms and classic female head masks, the movement with monogram and stamped 2106, clock 59cm high Condition report: "There are 15 images available to view on Easylive.The clock does not wind, but does have a key and pendulumThere are a couple of chips to the enamel around the winding holes. The clock is quite dusty and the ormolu mounts discoloured."
A MODEL OF THE SHIP THERMOPYLAE Thermopylae was a composite-hulled extreme clipper, built in 1868 by Walter Hood & Co. of Aberdeen for the Aberdeen Line. Designed for the Chinese Tea Trade, she was of exceptionally clean lines and set a speed record of sixty-three days between Gravesend and Hobsons Bay, Melbourne. Measures approx. 115cm from tip of bowsprit to stern and 82cm high at top of main-mast. A comparable model is held in Aberdeen Maritime Museum Condition Report:"Ship is very dusty overall and requires a thorough clean. Many base blocks are loose and so the ship is unstable on its plinth. Fairly extensive damage to the rigging, with many crossbeams detached from the masts and hanging loose. Bowsprit has similarly been damaged and is currently attached precariously by a single small nail. Rudder is snapped off. Cracking and wear to paintwork generally. Wheel damaged with losses. Multiple other small areas of damage. Hull is constructed from wood and judging by weight, would seem to be solid."

A XIX Century Oak Hall Stand, with applied pediment with scroll decoration, central mirror, fifteen turned hat hooks, a turned and reeded rail with finial ends, drip trays, on a plinth base, 226cm high, 146cm wide.Lot 1551 - possibly been re-polished, painted galvanised drip trays, have age, but may not be the original, no woodworm.
