A late 17th Century ebonised bracket clock, John Clowes of London, the case having a caddy top, gilt metal mounts, side and rear glazed apertures, on a stepped plinth base, the dial with winged cherub spandrels surrounding a silvered Roman chapter ring, having a striking twin fusee two train movement, altogether measuring 40cm tall, with key the clock movement has been adapted, and has a later pendulum and anchor escapement, upper left corner of case with depletiion, movement strikes and operates for a short period when lightly wound and pendulum moved. the movement is fixed within the case chapter ring diameter 16.5cm dial measurments 18cm x 19.5cm
