A MID 18TH CENTURY BLACK LACQUER AND CHINOISERIE DECORATED EIGHT DAY LONGCASE CLOCK the arched top hood with moulded turned pillars, glazed side viewing windows and pagoda surmount fitted three gilt ball finials above an arched top long trunk door decorated figures in pagoda landscape settings, box base and double moulded plinth. The twelve-inch arched brass dial with cast rococo spandrels, silvered name boss, Roman and Arabic chapter ring and matted centre dial with date aperture and recessed flower head engraved subsidiary seconds dial fronting a substantial five pillar movement with anchor escapement and rack striking on a bell.243cm highThe clock's movement is original to case. The lacquerwork is in good order and has been retouched in places. The movement is complete and functions correctly when pressure is applied to the wheels. The clock has weight and pendulum but we have not set the clock up and tested it. The movement is clean and has its original seatboard with no packing under the cheeks.

By James Muirhead, Paris45cm high 37cm wide The clock is in good working condition and looks to have been recently serviced, the dials have no cracks, the glass cover on the calendar has been cracked, there are some very minor chips to the slate on the front corner of the plinth and back left edge of the plinth.

A GEORGE II 30-HOUR LONGCASE CLOCK the oak case with moulded pediment above a glazed door flanked by unusual turned pillars on a slender trunk with moulded edge door on box base and convex mould. The 11" square brass dial with masked pierced spandrels and Roman chapter ring surrounding a matted engraved centre with calendar aperture fronting a weight driven movement with finned knopped pillars and outside countwheel striking the hours on a bell205.5cm high The case has an excellent colour and patina, there is a fine split to the panel below the door otherwise in good condition. The movement looks original to case and sits nicely on the original seatboard, in good working condition but may require a service. Comes with weight and pendulum. The clock does not appear to be cut down and is its original base and plinth.

The 12" square brass dial with gilt urn spandrels and Roman chapter ring surrounding a matted engraved centre with calendar aperture fronting a weight driven movement with latched plates and outside countwheel striking on a bell209.5cm high the movement is original to dial and is complete and ticking but is dirty may require a service, the steel hand is original, the bottom door hinge is loose, the case is in good condition having original colour and patina, the trunk has original lock but no key, a small patch repair on the front of the lock on the trunk front, the base has a small horizontal crack, the bottom mould is later, the clock would've originally had a plinth or bracket feet, the glass panel is original but the paint is worn.

AN EARLY 18TH CENTURY WALNUT AND SEAWEED MARQUETRY EIGHT DAY LONGCASE CLOCK the tiered caddy top hood with turned finials and blind frets above moulded turned pillars to the hood door and glazed side viewing panels. The profusely panelled inlaid case with centre glazed lenticle, panelled sides and box base on a moulded plinth. The 12-inch square brass dial with engraved wheatear border, crowned double cherubs head spandrels and a signed silvered chapter ring with Roman hour markings and Arabic outer minutes; matted centre dial with cut engraved date aperture, ringed winding holes, subsidiary seconds and steel hands fronting an eight-day five pillar movement with anchor escapement and inside count wheel strike on a bell.260cm high,The case is in very good condition with no losses to the marquetry, the base of the case is original but approximately 8" of the backboard is missing from the base. The movement looks original to case and dial original to movement. The movement is complete and working but will probably need a service, hands have been replaced. Comes with brass cased weights and pendulum. The top caddy is detachable. The measurement to the top of the mould is 218cm. The height without the central finiel is 242cm.
