A Victorian walnut Wellington chest, set with seven drawers, with carved acanthus detail, on a plinth base, 49cm wide, 34cm deep, 103cm highCondition report: Second drawer down lacking a piece of moulding. The top faded and marked. Splits to sides. Splits, knocks and wear. It has been stored in an outbuilding for some time, so could do with a little cosmetic attention. Drawers a little stiff. Two keys present.
* DAVID SHRIGLEY, VIBES offset lithograph on paper, signed, unnumbered edition of 250, published for The Big Issue image size 70cm x 50 cm, overall size 83cm x 63cm Mounted, framed and under glass. Note: David Shrigley attended Glasgow School of Art from 1988-91 where he studied environmental art. He works in many disciplines including drawing, photography, painting, sculpture, animation and music. The variety of projects he is involved with are multi-faceted ranging from the video for Blur’s ‘Good Song’ to ‘Kingsley’ Shrigley’s mascot for the Scottish football team Partick Thistle to ‘Really Good’ a sculpture of a bronze fist with upraised, out of proportion thumb which he created for the Fourth plinth in Trafalgar Square. Shrigley was created an O.B.E. in 2020 for services to the visual arts. Recent notable exhibitions include those in Glasgow, Germany and Sweden and he was nominated for the Turner Prize in 2013. His work is held in a number of important public collections including the National Galleries of Scotland and Tate.

MINTONS VASE FOR PHILADELPHIA AND CALDWELL CO., CIRCA 1847 of amphora form, with two handles formed from acanthus leaves,extending from the head of a lion, the recto and verso featuring a wreath with a single centered gilt daisy medallion against an eggshell white ground, the rest of the body accented with gilt garland swags and geometric shapes, against a light pink ground, atop four gilt and white paws with a geometric plinth, marked with maker's mark in gilt underglaze, numeral 3040, Mintons and date code all stamped in paste all under base; height including cover: 30 cm (11 3/4 in.) CONDITION The vase appears in age-appropriate condition. Surface soiling to one of the bows and garland swags. A hairline crack visible on one of the handles. A hairline crack against the eggshell ground. One of the ribbons to one of the bows of the garland swags has broken off and is missing. A LIKELY SEVRES PORCELAIN COVERED URNthe urn with two handles terminating from the heads of caryatids, the body featuring two Grecian woman in gilt, each in their own cartouche, with sprays of flowers, floral swags and flower-filled cornucopias, the cover with a conforming gilt floral swag, the finial formed as a lion, all against a deep cobalt ground, atop a square stone plinth, script sevres under stone base; height including cover: 47 cm (18 1/2 in.) CONDITION The urn appears in age-appropriate condition. Rubbing to the gilt accents, most notably to the lion's body and face. Light surface scuffs and scratches visible to the gilt detailing. Surface soiling visible along the foot rim. Overall surface dust, most notably to the cover. Inspection under UV shows overpainting visible to the top of each handle. N.B. Southdown Motor Services female bus conductor's uniform - jacket with chrome buttons & SMS collar flashes, trousers and hat with badge - displayed on a correct-size mannequin.
