After Provin Serres a pair of bronze effect spelter figures, La Romance and Le Croquis, 47cm, on wooden plinths with title.Qty: 2Condition report:Both are loose from their plinths, with one plinth being darker stained than the other and the darker one is split. The sculptures themselves, the one with the artist's palette is missing something from her left hand, possibly missing a small element from the end of the brush in her right hand, there is a small surface scratch above her breast, otherwise patina is ok. The sculpture with the harp is also missing elements from her hands, with an obvious soldering mark to the left hand, there is a patch of scratching to the back of the left shoulder, white marks surrounding the front of the base.
Victorian Scottish mahogany chest of drawers, concealed frieze drawer above three long graduating drawers flanked by pilasters, plinth base, width 102cm, depth 50cm, height 107cm.Condition report:Splitting to the veneer through driving out to the top, and side panels. The outline of the moulding to the top is also splitting. The drawers are all a little dry to open, and some of the linings are parting/ splitting/ with losses. All over marks and wear. Generally quite tired.
Edwardian walnut compactum wardrobe, cavetto moulded cornice, the left side with mirrored door enclosing hanging space, the right with a cupboard above four graduating drawers, drawer base on a plinth, width 129cm, depth 60cm, height 209cm.Condition report:Generally good condition, some veneer loss to the plinth base, especially the rear right hand side and front right corner. Doors haven't warped. The bottom drawer's lining needs repair as the base section is split and loose. Some minor wear to the mouldings and drawer fronts. Drawers run well. No evidence of worm activity.
Stripped pine bookcase, arched glazed doors enclosing adjustable shelves, bracket feet, width 105cm, depth 31cm, height 137cm.Condition report:Generally the condition is good, the arched panels to the top of the doors have split but they are stable. The left hand door doesn't quite close flush but that may just be the shelves preventing it from closing tight.The shelves have some staining. The top and plinth may be replaced pieces of pine as colours vary from the main body and doors. The shelves have some staining. The left hand panel is split, but again stable. There are a very small number of what would appear to be worm holes on the side panels, but fewer than a dozen in total.

The setting pierced & with white metal oak(?) leaves. Size Q/R. Approx. 7.5g. Fitted in a late 19th century brass & white metal velvet lined ring box, possible Italian. The base of the box stamped with a lion standing on a plinth. Note: this ring box was previously the property of Edward Bouverie Hoyton, 1900-1988, the etcher who won the Prix de Rome prize from Goldsmiths College for etching. He eventually became principal of the Penzance School of Art. Goldsmith College School of Art 1918-1926. British School in Rome 1926-1928. Penzance School of Art 1941-1966. An early 20th Century working model of a Single-Funnel Steam Yacht, commercially-made or made to commission to a high standard, with tinplate hull and superstructure, wooden deck overlaid on tinplate with ink-inscribed decking, incorporating typical detailed deck fittings as found on dockyard models, but hull weighted and fitted, as workin model, for mechanism or steam engine, although never fitted, so without propeller and shaft, painted in cream with red hull below Plimsoll line, red area possibly partly-overpainted, with two loose masts, 730mm long, G, decks dusty, discoloured, some warping, some small parts detached and missing, most window glazing loose, on plain wooden plinth; this type of steam yacht was popular in around 1900 with the wealthy, similar vessels including Sir Thomas Lipton's 'Erin', Roy Rainey's 'Cassandra' and 'Lorna', the latter two built by Scott's of GreenockCondition Report - Please see additional image(s).
