Footnote: A C.Hoch is listed as working in Salford (Manchester) on page 380 in Brian Loomes Watch and Clockmakers of The World, as working C1900Ashton Under Lyme is eleven miles from Salford.Condition report: The movement has been re-bushed and seems to have been done well with oil sink bushesThe movement has been re-gutted recently (?)The case could do with cosmetic spruce up but has no major defectsThe drum head hood in cracked due to shrinkage and has been fixed with glued fabric on the interiorThe seat board is packed up on the cheeks on both sidesNo winding key (that fits) or trunk door key is present.
