A pair of 19th Century French Empire mahogany framed chairs, the curved back rail with pierced brass embellishment, flanked by reeded giltwood caps to the swept side rails with stylised foliate decorated dolphin head finials with gilt decoration, the upholstered drop-in seat with straight front rail on sabre supports
A pair of Edwardian satinwood veneered bergere chairs, the shaped top rails with marquetry inlaid harebell swag panel decoration over swept arms with turned and ringed tapering column front supports, raised on square tapered legs to shaped square front feet CONDITION REPORTS Chair 1 has general wear, knocks, bashes, splits, etc conducive with age, wear and use. The top apron has sections of repaired veneer and a section on the left hand side is missing completely. There are splits where the arms join the main body of the chair. Loss of veneer to the right hand arm where the front hole is supporting (see photos). Bergere is generally sound. There is some fraying to the edge. The left hand turned arm support appears to have had a break at the base. The right hand side has a break at the base and appears to have been broken at the top. The left hand side support rail has veneer missing. There is a split to the back leg where the support rail joins. There is some glue in the bergere edging. There are splits to the back frame where the bergere is held in place (see photos). The same condition on the other side. The legs have heavier wear as expected. Chair 2 - has splits, dents, knocks, etc conducive with age, wear and use. The top rail has splitting in the veneer and has been repaired. There are some heavier splits where the arms join the back rails. Bergere is generally sound but there is some wear around the edges. Veneer is missing from the ends of the arms. Both turned arm supports appear to have been broken at the base. There is a heavier scratch to the bottom right hand side in line with the seat rail. On the left hand side's wood which holds in the bergere has large section approximately a third of the veneer missing and another third broken and damaged. There is a repaired piece of veneer work to the seat rail and a split in the back leg in line with the seat rail. The back has splits and wear to the sections holding in the bergere as per the other chair. The right hand side of the chair has repaired veneer work, a split at the top and another in the back leg in line with the seat rail. The seat rail has had repaired veneer work. There is glue visible holding the bergere in place. The seat has heavier wear as expected. The seats are 50.3 cm deep, 51 cm wide at the front and 46 cm wide at the back and 35 cm high.
A 19th Century elm tavern settle of small proportions, the slightly bowed back with chamfered top rail over a curved single plank seat on shaped plank end supports, 117 cm wide x 155 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Overall with wear, scuffs, some warping. Various splits. Several areas of reinforcement and repairs including some replacement sections (please see photos for examples).
A pair of carved stone garden planters, 39 cm diameter, a reconstituted stone garden planter, and a similar garden seat (4) Condition report Report by JB Two small urns - display general wear that you would expect from having been outside for a number of years, including marks, wear, a few chips, some loss to exterior sections. There is no facility for draining. There would not appear to be any significant cracks that would affect the structural integrity. Planter is not of a great size. Planting anything above a posy would probably prove a challenge due to the amount of space.
A George III mahogany single chair, c.1750, with a baluster shaped splat on scrolled front legs and pad feet linked by turned stretchers No over stuffed seat. Polish poor all over. No provenance. Tops of uprights have repaired splits and cracks. New seat rail strips added. Later corner blocks.
