The idea for ‘Sit Among the Flowers’ evolved from the artist’s consideration about the St. Luke’s Elmer auction. The artist considered that people may like to own an Elmer that had a functional purpose as well as being a piece of art. As a sculptor and keen gardener, Sally created a garden seat that blends into an organic environment. It also added diversity to the overall trail, in keeping with Elmer’s story. The ArtistFormer London prop maker, Sally has worked on countless projects over the years, including four public commissions in her home county of Norfolk. Her love of Wild in Art trails started with ‘GoGoGorilla’ in 2013 and eight more works have ensued. Sally also wrote and illustrated a children’s book to accompany her ‘GoGoHare’ sculpture in Norwich 2018.Sally is very excited to be collaborating with Elmer’s Big Parade Plymouth and is thrilled that her design was chosen by Bishop Fleming.
