Some shrinkage and repair around the edges of the panels of the back splats. Some other areas of shrinkage. Some of the ruyi panels are slightly loose. Some splits and cracks. One chair with some reinforcing supports screwed in to the edges of the underside. One chair with some scratching and flaking to varnish to the seat. Area of loss along the rear edge of the central seat panel and related loss to the underside frame. Also with some loss to the inside edge of one stretcher. One chair with some later screwed in supports to the underside of the seat. The shaped stretcher below the footrest is missing. Some cracks running across the seat.

An early 20th Century brass railed blue leather covered club fender 158 cm wide x 52 cm deep x 55 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Blue seat part - Outside measurement 156 cm long x 52 cm deep, inside measurement 123 cm long x 34 cm deepBrass base - Outside measurement 140 cm long x 48 cm deep, inside measurement 130 cm x 43 cmWhilst the piece is basically sound, the blue leather work does have signs of scratching and wear and tear conducive with age and use. See images for detail. The brass work is sound but in need of repolishing as there is evidence throughout of smearing and surface dirt. The right hand lower corner of the brass work does appear to have a small dent / hole. See images for further detail.

A late 19th Century upholstered armchair on square tapered front legs to brass caps and china castors, 68 cm wide x 97 cm high, together with a Victorian upholstered wing back scroll arm chair on turned and reeded mahogany front legs to brass caps and castors, 79 cm wide x 107 cm high (2) CONDITION REPORTS Upholstery has many quite serious and noticeable stains to the back, seat and arms and wear through to the calico beneath on the front of the arms. Legs with wear and tear conducive with age throughout and some denting and scratching. Loose covers are faded and worn.
