A William IV mahogany showframe library armchair, re-upholstered in velour, having loose cushion, the frame with scroll arms to turned feet terminating in brass caps and casters, w.71cm, h.89cm. Missing caster from rear leg. Mahogany moulding to the front of the left arm has been off, with small split and loss to join. Upholstery good. Height to top of seat cushion 42cm.
A George III eight day oak longcase clock, with silvered Roman numeral dial signed 'Jno Oliver Manchester', the matted centre with date aperture and subsidiary seconds and movement striking on a bell, in oak case with bracket feet, 206cm H CONDITION REPORT: The movement may not be original to the clock, the seat board is very thick and in two section (one later to the other). There some holes in the back plate which do not appear to be currently used and a shadow from where a former bracket may have been, The movement may have been altered.
Three 19th century armorial hall chairs in the Anglo-Indian style - possibly Welsh, originally from Dolserau near Dolgellau, the elaborate backs carved with an armorial of a Lion, with tapestry armorial eats with similar armorial and Latin motto 'Fidelis', on scroll legs and paw feet, (some old worm holes) (At fault), 115cm H CONDITION REPORT: It is possible that these were commissioned in part from colonial India as the bases are very much of the Anglo Indian / Burmese style. All of the tapestry seats have a few small marks. One chair is wormed to the back rail of the chair seat, the underside of the seat - and a few other holes here and there. One chair is wormed to the underside of the seat and most of the length of one of the uprights. There are also water blemishes to top and back of the chair. This chair is also a little loose in the frame. The finials to this chair may be replacements as they are slightly smaller in size. Third chair also with some worm damage to the back and to the legs. Some attention may be needed. (At fault) PLEASE see additional images. The items have been entered by a vendors whose ancestors owned the house originally.
An early 19th century carved rosewood scroll end settee / day bed, on carved and turned legs, with fitted brass castors, 87cm H x 147cm W x 62cm D (at fault) CONDITION REPORT: The settee is carved rosewood. The settee will need re-upholstering and the front panel of the seat is detached. There is a crack to the scroll on the right left hand side and the scroll on the right hand side is slightly loose. One of the scrolls to the back of the settee is lacking. The back left leg needs fixing back into position. There is some evidence of worm holes to the underside of the frame - this has been treated but may need further attention. Some attention will be needed to the frame.
