(7)Table: Top has circular heat mark near edge, some old scratches and general cosmetic marks consistent with age and use. Possibly once tilt-top action now fixed. Top of one support patched.Chairs: All structurally sound. Some minor cosmetic marks, surface wear typically on top rails, all consistent with age and use.
A George III, Chippendale style, mahogany elbow chair, the top rail with carved ears, above a pierced, interlaced splat, over a slip-in seat, raised on chamfered square legs united by an ‘H’ stretcher, some damage and stretcher braced Damage, including front rail along top edge very chipped, central stretcher chipped and damaged around join and front right leg with vertical crack adjacent to rail. Central stretcher with metal braces. Seat in need of re-covering.
