A cast iron Britannia style garden table and two chairs CONDITION REPORTS cRust is coming through the paintwork. Paintwork has crazing and cracking. There are some minor areas of flaking, etc. throughout. One of the chairs has a crack running through a section of the seat into the outer edge and possibly another one on one of the decorative slats although this might be cracking within the paint. Another crack evident to the back of the seat. The same chair also appears to have a small loss to one of the external decorations not far from the cracked area. In need of a good clean. General wear and tear conducive with age and use. See images for further detail.
A circa 1900 mahogany and brass bound matched three-piece salon suite in the Russian neo-Classical style, comprising three-seat settee and pair of near-matching armchairs, the settee with slat back decoration, 153 cm wide x 55 cm deep x 102 cm high, the chairs with lattice work decoration, raised on square tapered legs united by stretchers, 54 cm wide x 52 cm deep x 95.5 cm high CONDITION REPORTS One of the elbow chairs has some larger dents to the top rail and as well as a repair to the left hand corner and throughout predominantly to the edges really. Some of the brass work has been repaired particularly noticeable in the left hand corner. The back left hand leg has a split to the veneer. The other elbow chair is in a similar condition with several large knocks and bumps and chips to the extremities and damage to the brasswork including various splits, verdigris, etc. The settee is in similar condition, however, there appears to have been a repair to the top rail on the left hand side. An area of brasswork has been split and is breaking to the left hand seat section. On the left hand chair section, the first splat - the brass is completely missing and has been painted gold. The brass section is also missing to the apron of the middle section of the settee. There is a break to the stretcher. There is significant damage / hole to the second leg in from the left hand side and there is a break to the third leg from the left hand side. Generally all pieces appear to have been kept in some storage for some time. Very dirty and in need of a clean and reupholstery. Heavy wear and tear throughout conducive with age and use to include knocks and damage to all the brassware throughout as well as to the extremities of the frames. Although there are some splits etc to the wood, everything seems to be structurally sound. See images for further detail.

A Victorian show frame, spoon back salon elbow chair with button back and shaped seat, raised on turned and ringed legs to brass caps and china castors, 105 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Chair needs re upholstering. There are pin holes from old upholstery. The back rail has scuffing to the top. There are chips, knocks etc through out as well as some areas of filling. There is a smal chunk missing to the bottom rail underneath to the left hand side. There are a couple of old worm holes. General wear and tear conducive to age and use. See images for more details,
An18th Century and later oak hall chair, the shaped top rail over a plain panel and scroll arms on bobbin turned supports, the plain seat also on bobbin turned supports to block feet united by stretchers, 62 cm wide x 56 cm deep x 123 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Whilst the chair appears to be basically sound, there are several areas of damage and repair throughout, particularly to the arms with inset sections. Split to the back panel. Split to the front of the seat panel, split to the back of the seat panel left hand side corner. It is not known what the gouge marks are to the rear supports just above the arms as they appear to be uniform. It may be that they were part of the original construction though this to repeat is unknown. There is discolouration to the foot rails and signs of wear and tear conducive with age and use throughout - see images for further detail.

A Coalbrookdale style cast iron garden bench, 164 cm long x 70 cm deep x 80 cm high CONDITION REPORTS There is a chunk missing from the top left hand corner although this looks as though it has been missing for some time as previous paintwork is over the raw edges. Paintwork is flaking throughout revealing various layers. The wooden slats - one has broken and is missing a large chunk. The others are rotting. There is a large crack to the side panel of the left hand side in the back section. The metal strut at the back has broken in half and seems broken at the left hand side as well. There is an area of scrolling missing to the back right hand central area. There is a repaired break in a similar line to the missing section just described at the base of the seat back. Overall there is damage and losses, together with wear and tear conducive with age, use and being outside for a long period of time. See images for further detail.
Late 19th Century Flemish oak settle, heavily carved throughout. The back with three inset fielded panels depicting a group of musicians and card players. The sweeping arms carved with lion's heads and the hinged seat opening to reveal a storage space below. The front of the settle ornately carved with lion masks and scrolling acanthus, all raised on carved lion paw feet to front. H 130cm, W 162cm, D 53cm, seat height 56cm.

Royal Performance in the Presence of Her Majesty the Queen Mother on the Evening of Monday November 4th 1963 at the Prince of Wales Theatre, London, 52-page souvenir programme, colour portrait of the Queen and two other colour adverts, small reproductions of black and white photographs of the performers throughout, plus other illustrations including adverts, signed in black ink by all four Beatles (Paul McCartney, John Lennon, George Harrison and Ringo Starr) around their group photograph (on p. 23), the page also signed by the performer Susan Maughan in blue felt tip adjacent to her photograph above, the programme also similarly signed on other pages by performers Marlene Dietrich, Eric Sykes, Joe Loss, Max Bygraves, Charlie Drake, Tommy Steele, Harry Secombe, Donald Swann and Buddy Greco, original printed white card wrappers with stapled spine and decorative spine tie, minor marks to upper wrapper and outer margins of first two leaves, slim folioQTY: (2)NOTE:Provenance: The Autograph Collection of Peter Bland (1928-2003).As with all the signatures in these Royal Variety programmes, they were obtained in person by the determined autograph-hunting Peter Bland. However, Peter was unable to get George Harrison’s autograph that night but managed to obtain it in person at a later date; George adding his autograph in neatly below the photograph of the Beatles and above John’s autograph. Peter’s original printed ticket (seat U25, light vertical crease) is included with the lot.The 1963 Royal Variety Performance came at the height of the first wave of Beatlemania. 'She Loves You' had been in the charts since August and 'I Want to Hold Your Hand' was about to be released with advance sales of a million. The London Palladium had been besieged by hysterical fans when the band played there in October; and they had just returned from five days in Sweden, their first overseas tour since their Hamburg days. ‘A few days later the boys appeared in the Royal Variety Performance, the biggest show of the year. The Queen Mother, Princess Margaret and Lord Snowdon were in the royal box. That was the evening when John famously said, “The ones in the cheap seats clap their hands, the rest of you just rattle your jewellery”. The joke was on every front page the next day and confirmed the Beatles’ image as a group of cheeky but lovable lads’ (John, by Cynthia Lennon (2005).

The eldest son of Claudius Amyand (1680-1740), a distinguished military surgeon and exile Huguenot. Claudius Jnr was educated at Westminster and Christ Church, Oxford, attended Lincoln's Inn, and was called to the bar in 1742. Appointed Keeper of the King's Library in 1745, he was elected Member of Parliament for Tregony in the 1747 general election. In 1750 he was appointed junior under-secretary to the Duke of Newcastle, becoming senior under-secretary to the Earl of Holderness the following year. He was offered the seat at Bossiney for the 1754 general election but declined the opportunity due to a lack of funds. He was instead elected at Sandwich. He retained his office under Thomas Robinson and Henry Fox until 1756 when William Pitt removed him to the Board of Customs where he served until 1765. After this, he took the position of Receiver of the Land Tax for Middlesex and London, a post he held until he died in 1774. He married Frances, the widow of George Compton, 6th Earl of Northampton on 26 November 1761 and the couple had no children.
