A Victorian oak Masonic Master's seat, Sincerity Lodge no. 428, the triangular corniced surmount painted with an 'all-seeing eye' above the verse 'VIDE AVDI TACE', above recessed panelled back and seat, flanked on either side by column support, total width approx. 145cm, total height approx. 244cm NB - This seat belonged to The Lodge of Sincerity no. 428 which was formed in Northwich in 1835. Many people have sat in this seat including Sir John Brunner, founder of ICI. The Lodge has now moved from The Victoria Club to a Golf Club and the seat is too large for The Golf Club. (illustrated)
