A 19th century mahogany window seat, with moulded edge and recessed frieze and raised on four turned tapered legs. Width 123 cm. CONDITION REPORT: Depth 30.7 cm, height to top of seat 44.5 cm. The seat is structurally very sound with no loose joints. The top has numerous old ring marks and watermarks but has the potential to be a very good colour. The top is slightly undulating and does have some minor stress fractures to the timber. There is slight movement on one of these which in our opinion is not significant. One of the bolster ends has been refixed from the underside using two screws. The screws are old. There is very slight movement at the leg joints. All leg blocks have old pegged repairs. The legs themselves are in generally in good order and are only dirty and a little scuffed.

A George III mahogany settee, upholstered in deep buttoned corded material and raised on moulded front legs united by stretchers and with original brass roller castors. Width 148 cm, height to top of back 90 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The settee is structurally very sound with no loose joints. The upholstery is in generally good order with no significant marks or staining. There are no holes. The seat is firm. There is nothing protruding beneath the seat. The legs and stretchers are all original and are in good order with no evidence of any repairs or breaks. The roller castors appear to be original.
A Regency mahogany bergere armchair, with moulded showframe and upholstered arms, raised on turned front legs terminating in castors. Width across front of arms 61 cm. CONDITION REPORT: This chair requires restoration. The top rail is scuffed. Where the left-hand arm joins the top rail there is a loss which should be evident on our image. The top of the arm has also sprung from the stile. The arms themselves are structurally fairly sound. The right-hand arm has been pegged through with a dowel into the turned and lobbed support. The front legs are in good condition and the castors appear to be original. Both rear legs have had repairs and appear to be reduced in height. All side rails are scuffed and marked as are the back rails. The caning to the back and sides is generally in good order with only very minor single strand sections missing. The seat caning is also for the most part present and serviceable but sagging a little.
An unusual armchair constructed from horse hames, with leather back and seat. Width 60 cm, height 95 cm. CONDITION REPORT: We do not have any specific provenance with this chair. Judging by the patination to the arms and leather we would have thought the chair to be the first third of the 20th century. It is structurally extremely sound. The leather back and seat are extremely heavy duty and other than surface marks in very good condition. There are some old cracks to the woodwork within the Hames but as these have iron supports they are not an issue. The chair could be used in its current condition without the need for any work. It is generally a good colour and in very good order.
An early 18th century walnut side chair, with serpentine splat drop in seat and raised on cabriole front legs united by a series of shaped stretchers. The tops of both stiles have old but very secure repairs. The right-hand side rail has old long-gone woodworm holes. Both front legs have old repairs to the corner blocks. The stretcher to the front and right-hand side is a replacement. The left-hand stretcher is old but does have several old repairs and a few woodworm holes. The lower hoop is in good order as are all the spindles. The seat has a series of old stress fractures running right across the seat there is however no movement. They are all in basically good condition but do have loose joints particularly where the back of the seat joins the stile. One armchair has had old spliced repairs to the rear legs. The repairs are good. Four of the single chairs have also had repairs to the back legs. These are at the lower end and are in the main old spliced repairs. All chairs have had some work over the years and some have more wear than others to the front turned stretchers.
