1989 Peugeot 205 1.4 CJ JuniorMake: Peugeot Model: 205 CJ Junior Year: 1989Mileage: 76354VIN: VF320DK1201932304Configuration: Right Hand DriveRegistration: F666ENWTransmission: manualWhile the Peugeot 205 was an in-house design, when it came to the cabriolet version, the French marque turned to Pininfarina to successfully chop the top off, creating the CJ. This 1989 1360cc Junior example, registered in April of that year, is finished in all-over white with a black hood and blue interior. It has an MoT until June of next year The paperwork folder includes the current V5C as well as a past one, showing eight former keepers. There's also the original Peugeot document folder with owner's handbook and other original documentation including the service book which has 18 stamps up until July 1998 at 59,709 miles. The current MoT certificate is included, valid until June 2022, plus some SORN confirmations suggesting this little Pug spent 2008 to 2010 and 2012 to 2019 off the road. Other MoT certificates are from 2005, 2006 and 2007. In addition, there are also tax discs from 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2010, and hand-written notes on how to operate the immobiliser. The odometer records 76,354 miles and the vendor reports that the car 'starts and drives well'. The exterior condition is presentable, while inside, the driver's seat has some tears in it and the top of gearknob is missing. PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR VIDEO PRODUCED 27TH OCTOBER BY ACA OF THIS CAR.

1990 Dodge Dynasty 3.3L V6 Auto LHDMake: Dodge Model: Dynasty Year: 1990Mileage: 107349VIN: 1B3XC46RXLD885194Configuration: Left Hand DriveRegistration: H838LJOTransmission: automatic The Dynasty was Dodge's mid-sized front-wheel drive model from 1988 to 1993, and was offered solely as a four-door saloon. The name is widely believed to be a reference to the popular 1980s' TV series Dynasty, although it's more likely that Chrysler was just perpetuating the 'Royalty' theme established by its Imperial line. This 1990 3.3-litre V6-engined example came to the UK in 1996, and has nine former keepers recorded by its V5C. There is little paperwork aside from the current MoT certificate, which is valid until June 2022. The recorded mileage is 107,349 and the vendor describes it as a 'good runner' that has recently had a full service. The car is in generally reasonable order, although there are some signs of age on the body such as paint crazing on the top of the bumpers, as well as the 'chrome' plastic trim wearing thin in the same areas. The rear Chrysler badge, covering the boot lock, is missing. and the rubber window weatherstrips are past their best as well. Chrome alloy wheels are fitted. Inside, the cabin, with blue upholstery and front bench seat, is very tidy. PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR VIDEO PRODUCED 22ND OCTOBER BY ACA OF THIS CAR.

The paperwork file contains the V5C and 2020 bills for a new mohair hood, battery, and work to fix a rear seat. The book pack contains instructions for the audio system, service book (stamped up to 93,013 miles in July 2019), dealer directory, assistance and warranty details, leather care guide and owner's handbook. A check of the online MoT history suggests the car was off the road between 2015 and 2020. A spare key is included. PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR VIDEO PRODUCED 27TH OCTOBER BY ACA OF THIS CAR.

Historic Race MiniMake: MiniModel: Contact AuctioneerYear: 0Mileage: 0VIN: Contact AuctioneerConfiguration: Right Hand DriveRegistration: Contact AucitoneerTransmission: Contact AuctioneerAlmost since their invention, Minis have been enthusiastically raced. What they may have lacked in overall power they more than made up for in corners, being renowned for their handling. This ex-historic Touring Car racer was last campaigned in the 1990s, having been built from an early 1960s car which had seen very little use road use before its conversion, and was consequently rust-free. The vendor informs us that it was painted in two-pack Ford Diamond White around 15 years ago, but dry-stored after that. As a result, it remains in good condition. As a car totally focused on racing, this Mini isn't registered for road use and has had much of its interior stripped, to make it as lightweight and fast as possible. To save further weight, the boot, bonnet and doors are glassfibre while all the windows save for the windscreen are Perspex. The rollcage is a Rollcentre multipoint T45 weld-in cage enveloping a modern Sparco seat. There's a period Smiths rev counter and other instrumentation inside what is otherwise a very Spartan interior. Mechanically, the car has an AP Racing master cylinder, four-pot alloy brake calipers up front, Super Minifin drum brakes at the rear, braided brake hoses, adjustable rear camber and brake bias, rose-jointed front lower arms, rose-jointed front tie rods, Gaz adjustable lowered shock absorbers and Hi-Lo adjustable ride height. The wheels are 5J x 10 100+ items while the petrol tank is alloy with a new Bendix fuel tank. For anybody looking to get into historic Mini racing, this example presents an ideal opportunity to acquire something to use as a basis for motorsport, although before you unleash it on the circuit, you will need to fit your own engine as the Mini currently doesn't have one.

1988 Lotus Esprit TurboMake: Lotus Model: Esprit Turbo Year: 1988Mileage: 39962VIN: SCC082910JHD13051Configuration: Right Hand DriveRegistration: E21BNMTransmission: manualAfter the launch of the Giugario-designed Esprit in 1976, the next major development was the introduction of turbocharging in 1980, initially in the Essex Turbo Esprit. In 1987, the very angular Esprit was redesigned by Peter Stevens - later to pen the McLaren F1 - with a shape that closely followed Giugario's lines, but added a few softer, more rounded edges. This striking red 2174cc Esprit Turbo is one of the Stevens models, and was registered in April 1988. Its MoT is valid until October 2022. The vendor tells us that it had three former keepers before being purchased by Cooper Hirst Auctions in 1998, with the title transferred its owner Richard Hirst. Unfortunately, all its documentation was destroyed in 2008 when there was a fire at the auction house's premises in Chelmsford. However, a letter from Richard Hirst's son in 2017, included in the paperwork, states that he believes the car was regularly serviced when in use, and had a history supporting this. It spent around nine years in dry storage, while under Hirst ownership. After the vendor acquired the Lotus in 2017, it has mainly been SORN in dry storage. The mileage - currently reading 39,962 - is believed to be correct, but can't be warranted. Included in the paperwork folder is the current V5C, correspondence between Richard Hirst's son and the vendor (including some photocopies of newspaper reports regarding the Chelmsford fire), and recent bills such as work to renew the pop-up headlamp mechanism (£394.38 in September 2021) and a new radiator, shock absorber and brake parts, plus other sundry items (£1794.00 in March 2018) and headlamps (£342 in 2016). There's also 2008, 2016 and 2018 MoT certificates plus Kenwood CD player instructions. While the body shows some signs of age, and there's some wear to the beige leather interior, overall the Lotus presents well. The driver's seat has lost some of its support, and the driver's external door handle can be temperamental. PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR VIDEO PRODUCED 12TH OCTOBER BY ACA OF THIS CAR.

1979 Mercedes W116 450 SEL AutoMake: Mercedes Model: 450 SEL Year: 1979Mileage: 60981VIN: 11603322096698Configuration: Right Hand DriveRegistration: JRK555VTransmission: automatic This high specification 4520cc Silver Blue Mercedes-Benz 450 SEL automatic was registered in October 1979, with its options including sunroof, air conditioning, electric reclining rear seat and heated front seats. Included in the paperwork file is the current V5C showing five former previous keepers. There are also assorted 21st century invoices as well as a period 350 SE, 450 SE and 450 SEL brochure. The original documentation folder is present, with its service booklet stamped up to 60,948 miles in June 2021, which, along with the MoT history, confirms the odometer reading of 60,968 miles as genuine. It's accompanied by the owner's manual, Pioneer radio cassette guide, seat heater user info and British and European service network guide. The MoT certificates range from 1984, 1992, 1995 to 2004, 2006 to 2008, 2010 to 2012, 2014 to 2016 and 2021. The present MoT is valid until May 2022. There are also three tax discs from between 2011 and 2014. This 450 SEL is in extremely good condition throughout, with a particularly well-preserved and comfortable beige cloth interior. The vendor tells us that the air conditioning is working. The only real exterior blemishes are some stonechips on the bonnet. PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR VIDEO PRODUCED 22ND OCTOBER BY ACA OF THIS CAR.

Lot 428

2003 Jaguar XKR 4.2 Coupe Auto 24,000 miles from new Make: Jaguar Model: XKRYear: 2003Mileage: 38534VIN: SAJKC41R943A38842Configuration: Right Hand DriveRegistration: LN53ABOTransmission: automaticOriginally registered in Japan in early 2003, the vendor tells us that this supercharged Jaguar XKR coupe was rarely driven out there for 15 years, where it was regarded as a status symbol. Upon coming to the UK in 2018, it has apparently been garaged and not used in bad weather. The current mileage is 23,934 miles (albeit recorded as 38,534km). The car is finished in Midnight Black with Dove Grey leather interior and rides on unmarked 18inch Hydra alloy wheels. The body is in excellent condition, with no signs of any paintwork being carried out, and just some polishing swirl marks and a couple of small stonechips by the nearside headlight being the only real blemishes. The door shut lines are even, the bumpers are free from any scuffs (thanks to parking sensors) and the Hydra alloys are very good. They're clad in Dunlop Sport tyres which were fitted less than 1500 miles ago. With Japanese roads seeing less salt than their British equivalents, the underneath of the Jaguar is very well-preserved. There's minimal wear to the Dove Grey interior, with the electrics on the front seats functioning as they should. The rear seat looks like it's had very little use. The speedometer is now in mph, but the odometer remains in Japanese market km. Both the sat nav and the radio have been converted to UK specification, and there's a six-disc CD changer in the boot. The vendor reports that the XJR drives and handles very well, pulls through its gears nicely and changes smoothly. There are no untoward noises. The brakes behave exactly as they should, pulling the car up sharply and in a straight line. The history file includes the UK V5C showing three former registered keepers. Among the most recent invoices are one for a full service in September 2020 plus replacement front anti-roll bar links (£671.76), MAF sensor in February 2020, (£142.80), a complete set of Dunlop tyres in July 2019 (£630) and a replacement steering rack in July 2018. The original document folder includes the audio systems handbook, maintenance record, quick guide and driver's handbook, albeit all in Japanese. There's the NOVA import notification, verified Jevic certificate, specification and options print-out. The MoT certificates from 2019, 2020 and 2021 are present, with the expiry date for the last one being August 2022. A spare set of keys is included. Lot 432

1973 Triumph TR6 PiMake: TriumphModel: TR6Year: 1973Mileage: 64374VIN: CR8100Configuration: Right Hand DriveRegistration: SBW388LTransmission: manualThe Triumph TR6 is regarded as the last of the traditional TR sports cars, with a lineage that can be traced directly back to the first production model, the TR2, of 1953. Introduced in 1968, it kept the centre section, frame, 2.5-litre six-cylinder engine and running gear of the previous TR5, but with a more modern nose and tail designed by German coachbuilder Karmann grafted on. The vendor tells us that this example was fully restored in 2015, and 'has been maintained to a high standard and in in perfect running condition'. The current odometer reader is 64,374 miles. The history folder includes the current V5C (noting 15 former keepers), the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate (which indicates that the car was once Emerald Green) and MoTs from 2016 to 2018. The file of bills dates from 2015 to 2017, many of them relating to the restoration. Major items include a fuel injection metering unit, steering rack, bonnet assembly, carpet set, hood cover and seat foam set. There's also a set of spare keys. Thanks to having only covered less than 500 miles since restoration, this Triumph TR6 remains in excellent condition throughout, although a perfectionist may want to realign the bonnet to even up the panel gaps.
