A 19th century mahogany Windsor chair, with pierced splat back, solid seat and crinoline stretcher. Height 102 cm, width across arms 59 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The chair has age related wear, marks to the seat probably where somebody has been wearing denim jeans with buttons on. The left-hand arm as you look at the chair is slightly loose at the joint and this is also affecting the back of the chair.
A pair of Howard & Sons London oak armchairs, with carved top rail, the back seat and arms upholstered in deep buttoned leather, the arms with turned fluted supports and legs to match raised on brass castors, one chair with plaque to rear Howard & Sons Ltd, 25 26 27 Burners Street London W. Height 102 cm, width at arms 72 cm, height at seat 45 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The chair on the left of the main photograph is structurally sound. The showframe timbers are generally in good order, just a little age-related wear, we can see nothing untoward. The next chair is again structurally sound. The showframe is in good order and we can see nothing untoward other than age related marks. The leather upholstery obviously is extremely tired and worn through in a number of places.
Six George III mahogany dining chairs, circa 1775 with stuffover seats and backs with brass studs and raised on moulded front legs. Height to top of back 95 cm, width across seat front 57 cm. CONDITION REPORT: All the chairs are in good order, showing age-related wear, dents etc but nothing untoward.
