A finely engineered exhibition quality 2 inch scale model of the Fowler Scenic Showmans engine 'Jill', built by the late Mr R Reed of Exeter, Devon. from Plastow castings and drawings based on the model 'Princess', the compound live steam engine with bores of 1 3/8in and 2in diameter, drain cocks to cylinders operated from the back-head, associated pipework, copper boiler built with mud-hole and fittings including twin water sight gauges, inset pressure gauge, safety valve, blower valve, water lifter, shut off clack and blowdown valves, governor, brakes fitted to back wheels, cable drum and fairleads, lubricators, crosshead guides, Stephenson's link reverse, direction control, driver's seat, simulated plank flooring and diamond shaped step treads, eccentric driven feed pump with bypass, two road speeds and solid flywheel with polished brass star decoration and rim mounted brake. Chassis details include spoked wheels with fitted rubber road tyres, worm and roller chain steering, side belly tanks with rivet work and applied star decoration, electric generator, canopy supported on brass olivers with fascia board painted but not sign written. Rear mounted crane with extension boom for tent pole erection in the fairgrounds. The engine is finished in red, yellow and black paintwork with polished brightwork and polished brass road lamps. Total Length 108cm. No boiler history available. This model would appear to have only been run on compressed air with an air intake fitted below the cylinder block.
A rare and well engineered 7 ¼ inch gauge model of a LNWR 4-4-0 Class 'George the Fifth' tender locomotive No 5000 Coronation , believed to have been built from Bassett Lowke castings and restored by George Swift in 1989 with copper boiler replaced and fitted by Swindon Boilers. The model was totally re-built by Mr R S Hammond of Basingstoke between 1992 and 1994. It is believed the locomotive originally ran at the garden railway at Gunton. North Walsham. The silver soldered copper boiler with fittings including pressure gauge, water sight gauge with drains, regulator, direction control, safety valve, brake and other usual fittings. The chassis having twin inside cylinders 1 ¾ bore by 3 stroke with Joy valve gear, injectors and lubricating system. The model finished in black lined livery with cab-side number plate, 'Coronation' name plate and hand painted gartered crests to each side of six wheel tender. Fitted hand-rails, steps, vacuum hose, detailed rivet-work and cushion driver's seat. Total length 130cm. Boiler history: Boiler Identity No SB 107. No current boiler history available. Passed boiler history from the 1990 s to 2016 available for inspection at the auction rooms on view days. LATE VICTORIAN STEINWAY ROSEWOOD GRAND PIANO, having overstrung gilded iron frame marked: 'Steinway and Sons, Overstrung Scale Patent, December 20, 1859, May 28th, 1872, New York', with other dates. Bearing label: 'Supplied by Harrods Ltd., London, no. H51376. On square tapering legs with spade feet and brass casters. Overall 182cm long. Together with a rectangular mahogany adjustable piano stool with American cloth lift seat and square tapering legs. (2) (B.P. 24% incl. VAT) CONDITION REPORT: Case has been French polished so is good but not deep lustre finish, more matt. Keys are not ivory. Overall good condition with nice grain. Various cracks in sound board appear to have been glued. As an Estate sale the family say that the piano was expensively restored and repaired by their father. No serial number found.
CEE-SPRING RALLI CAR by Windover and Son, Long Acre, London. This vehicle was built to order in the 1890s as a wedding present for Sir Henry Fairfax Lucy of Charlecote Park in Warwickshire. It was bought from the park's collection by Mr D.C. Rose of Sutton Coldfield during the 1960s and shown very successfully by him in private driving classes. On his death it was sold at Reading Carriage Sale.Built on a 72" cranked axle, it has very fine 16 spoke wheels, louvred sides and lancewood shafts. Painted dark blue, lined gold with restored navy melton trim (which reverses to all weather). The whip holder, dash and splash boards are finished in its original leather. It has its original floor mat and a foot board. The front seat is on an adjustable slide and the rear cushion folds double to accommodate the seat in slid-back position. Said to be beautifully balanced and giving a very comfortable ride when put to a 14:1/2hh horse.Labelled by Windover on the hubs and springs and with a patent mark on the drawbar.Not been used in the last ten years but has been safely stored.(B.P. 24% incl. 19TH CENTURY YEW, ELM AND BEECH SPLAT BACKED FIRESIDE ELBOW CHAIR with saddle moulded seat on turned legs. (B.P. 24% incl. VAT) CONDITION REPORT: The arms appear to be yew and are well patinated. Spindles are beech, seat is elm. Overall in good sound condition with nice patination. Appearing mostly original.Fine chair. Not welsh. Seat rather dry and with scratches on edge otherwise nice patination. Splat in back is split. Late 19th Century?

SET OF MID 20TH CENTURY MAHOGANY JOCKEY SCALES with sliding scale mechanism, American cloth seat and square tapering legs. 65 x 43 x 76cm. CONDITION REPORT: Overall a little dry and lacking in patination but in good condition for age, some wear and creasing to the American cloth seat, scuffed and worn to the angles in places.

CONDITION REPORT: Overall in good condition, the lip work a little creased and loose in places.One arm has been slightly chewed - bottom of legs have old rot.
