A Fine Mid Georgian Carved Red Walnut Library Chair. The rectangular padded back, elbow rests and seat re-covered in a golden plush fabric. The down-swept moulded arm supports enriched with carved sprays of foliage issuing floral sprigs. The stop-fluted seat rails on four cabriole legs carved with crested shell motifs to the front and bell-flower garlands leading down to the ball & claw feet.
