A Victorian green painted cast iron Garden Bench with Gothic pattern to back, semi-circular pattern to arms, possibly by the Val d`Osne Foundry. 55 1/2`` long, 35`` high. The company is understood to have exhibited at the Great Exhibition at the Crystal Palace, London in 1851 and the radial decoration of the arms of this elegant seat is highly reminiscent of the great arch surmounting the front facade of the Crystal Palace which was subsequently destroyed by fire.
