A swivel egg chair by Greaves & Thomas, c.1960s, the moulded shell, upholstered in a sage green cotton material with removable cushion seat, standing on teak X-supports with adjustable brass capped feet. Seat height 42cm, width 71cm. In good condition - with no damage or repairs, only age related wear & tear to the fabric.
A Victorian ash spindle back elbow chair. With a rush seat and turned supports and rails, height 84cm, width 55.5cm.The joints are sound and the chair appears sturdy. There is an amateur repair on the right arm, where the upright joins.The rush seat is in good order, the front rail is somewhat worn.
An ash and elm Windsor armchair. Circa 1900, with pierced vase splat, shaped solid seat and raised on cabriole front legs with a crinoline stretcher, height 101cm, width 57cm, depth 48cm.All joints are solid and firm with little movement, evidence of repairs and refinishing throughout, small chips and cracks commensurate with age. A George III oak thirty-hour longcase clock by Thos Noon, Ashby. With a 28cm square brass dial, flanked by plain turned columns, overall height 191cm.The clock has been entered from a deceased estate, we are unsure when it was last working.The seat board has been replaced at some point, the door hinges have been changed, and it lacks the weight. No evidence of woodworm.
A rare George III yew wood country Chippendale side chair. With a pierced vase splat and drop in seat, on square chamfered legs, height 91cm, width 53cm, depth 44cm.There are a couple of historic splits, and a few losses near the feet, otherwise no other apparent issues, please refer to the additional images.
A small pine framed Orkney chair. Early 20th century, with a typical curved seagrass back, drop-in seat, and square underframe, height 99cm, width 55cm, depth 52cm.Break and losses to the top two rows of curved backing, break and losses to drop in seat, heavy wear throughout the joints are firm with little movement.
A late 18th century Dutch elm marquetry side chair. The shell shaped tops above vase splat back with scrolling supports above serpentine drop in seat on cabriole legs and claw and ball feet, decorated throughout with inlay flowers, foliage, an urn and a bird of paradise, height 111cm.The chair has a very slight movement on the back, but is sturdy and useable.There are several veneer losses throughout, and a split is visible near the top of the splat.The legs have been strengthened with screws through the seat rail, there has been a repair to the top rail and there is a loss on one foot, and a rear spandrel, please see the extra images.
