A GEORGE SMITH SIGNATURE THREE SEAT SOFA In blue fabric upholstery, on turned supports and castors 212cm wide, 85cm high, approximately 90cm deep Condition: Condition Report There is some fading to the fabric along the back rest, front of teh cushions and along the front, as well as the arm rests. Some staining to one arm rest. Some pulls to teh fabric on the seat covers. This is an auction of preowned and antique items. Many items are of an age or nature which precludes their being in perfect condition and you should expect general wear and tear commensurate with age and use. We strongly advise you to examine items before you bid. Condition reports are provided as a goodwill gesture and are our general assessment of damage and restoration. Whilst care is taken in their drafting, they are for guidance only. We will not be held responsible for oversights concerning damage or restoration.

A David Brown VAK 1 petrol/T.V.O. engined farm tractor with the Bullet-hole type grille and magneto ignition. This type of tractor was considered quite a luxury in its era having a four speed gearbox, hand-lever operated independent brakes, a P. T. O. shaft and hydraulics. The cylinder block has an historic frost crack, which appears to have been filled and whilst she has not been run for a fair number of years, it is understood that the damage did not preclude its operation. The engine is not seized and there will undoubtedly be great excitement in bringing her back to life. It is believed that this tractor has remained local to the Grosmont area for its entire life, the original owner having been a member of the Eynon family. The vendor is understood to be only her third owner. Having the customary double seat and being capable of a good turn of speed, these tractors are ideal for road runs with a co-pilot riding shotgun for company and with the cowling and side-panels in situ can be surprisingly cosy, even on winter runs. Regrettably, no registration documents or log-book are present and there appears to be no evidence of the original registration number.
