A Carved Oak Wainscot Chair. The tall back having a shaped cresting rail edged in voluted scroll moulding and carved with trailing leaves on a pitted ground. The moulded back panel carved with a flowering plant; it's straight central stem issuing a large calendula bloom flanked by thistles and daisies and framed in a guilloche arch with clumps of foliage adorning the corners. The down-swept scroll end arms on baluster turned posts, the seat on run-moulded rails with turned legs united by peripheral stretchers, 48 1/2 ins (123 cms) high, 23 ins (59 cms) wide and 21 ins (53 cms) deep.
A Carved Oak Wainscot Chair. The cresting rail carved in the form of fanned feathers above an arcaded back panel with a fleur-de-lis motif on a nail pitted ground flanked by run moulded uprights and S-scroll 'ear-pieces' either side. The scroll end arms on rising baluster turned posts leading down to an edge moulded plank seat above foliate carved rails with S-scroll spandrels. The turned legs united by peripheral stretchers and terminating on turned feet.

The back panel carved with a horizontal lozenge framing a central flower radiating foliage, the outer edges adjoined by semi-elliptical carving decorated with punchwork. The plain uprights having pyramid finials and down swept scroll ended arms raised on ball turned posts. The plank seat above run-moulded and dentil carved frieze decorated with punchwork. The turned legs united by peripheral stretchers and measuring 41 1/2 ins (105 cms) in height and 22 ins (56 cms) width.
A 17th Century Wainscot Chair. The arcaded back panel with gouge carved palmate decoration enhanced with punchwork below a lunette top rail flanked by run-moulded uprights. The scroll-end arms on turned posts leading down to a replacement seat on turned gun-barrel legs and square feet united by peripheral stretchers.
A Rare Derbyshire Bobbin Turned Chair. The crescent shaped back rail carved with scalloped upper edges and adorned with turned pendant finials. The uprights having voluted scroll terminals and bearing applied split turnings, and united by a bobbin turned central rail. The planked seat framed in raised block rails, the turned legs joined by block stretchers. 41 ins (104 cms) in height, 19 1/2 ins (49 1/2 cms) in width.
A Splendid Lancashire Wainscot, The top rail carved with two foliate horizontal lozenges flanking a roundel with floral centre. The side uprights surmounted by pyramid finials and adjoining down swept arms supported by short ring turned columns and a plank seat. The ring turned column legs and block feet joined with square peripheral stretchers. 42 1/2 ins (108 cms).
A Large 17th Century Joined Oak Wainscot Chair. The back panel boldly carved with three daisy wheels tied in a guilloche knot within an arch of foliated lunettes. The guilloche carved top rail crested by voluted scrolls and enriched with punchwork. The carving reflected on the uprights surmounted by turned finials. The down-swept arms on rising baluster posts leading down to a planked seat, channel moulded seat rails and baluster turned legs united by peripheral stretchers.
