A late 18th Century elm cased thirty-hour longcase clock by Thomas Sharp, Stratford, the case with square hood and 8½" brass dial with decorated spandrels, 189cm high/see illustration Condition Report: The dial has for obsolete holes on the reverse it is therefore probably associated, the seat board with crude restorations and the dial aperture crudely cut but original. The movement needs attention as the winding gear teeth are worn and the weight habitually pulls the chain through the winding wheels other than acceptable scratches, small splits and old worm holes, the clock case is in acceptable condition.

Case appears to be associated. Seat board has been raised to fit hood. Backboard is split. Marquetry is cracked on door and plinth. Lenticle surround is scuffed. Some other damage. Hood has no dial mask and side panels have been filled. Frieze carving possibly later replacement
