1960s LOTUS RACING PEDAL CAR BY TRI-ANG In moulded plastic, circa 1970, finished in British racing green with yellow nose cone and spoked plastic steering wheel, foam seat, rubber roll bar, rear engine details with replaced exhausts housing. 122 x 56 x 38cm, in used condition, would benefit some cosmetic restoration.
1941 ALFA-ROMEO 158 ALFETTA RACING PEDAL CAR BY AMERICAN RETRO 1941 Alfa Romeo 158 Alfetta Formula 1 car, with rubber tyres, chrome trim and leatherette seat. This children’s pedal car was built to resemble an Alfa Romeo 158 race car of the 1940s and features steel bodywork with a single-seat cockpit. Finished in red with Alfa Romeo and clover decals, it is also equipped with a two-pedal drive system as well as chrome wheels and trim. The pressed steel body is finished in red and measures 125cm from nose to tail. Details include Alfa Romeo decals as well as a chrome front grille, headlight blanks, faux side pipes, and windshield. The cockpit features a single black seat pad along with a chrome steering wheel directing the front wheels. The distance from the seat backrest to the fully-extended pedals is said to measure 24 inches. The rear wheels are driven by twin foot pedals, which also provide braking input when back-pedaled. The car weighs approximately 18 kilograms.
