An Edwardian mahogany and inlaid settee, the shaped pierced back decorated with foliate sprays above upholstered padded back and seat raised on cabriole legs. CONDITION REPORT: Panel on the left has been reglued, otherwise appears good with no further obvious signs of faults, damage or restoration.
A 19TH CENTURY AND LATER EIGHT-DAY LONG CASE CLOCK having a broken swan-neck pediment with flower-head terminals and giltwood finials, an arched glazed hood door and protruding reeded columns with dentil moulding, the shaped trunk door between reeded quarter columns, the panelled base raised on short bracket feet, the arch of the dial engraved with name ~Alex Picken, Glasgow~ over a chapter ring of Roman hours and Arabic seconds, and two winding apertures, all framed by engraved spandrels. 225cm(h) Dual movement and seat board appear later replacements, marks and scratches, repair to base edge, veneer repairs, some minor depletions, rear feet missing, front feet depleted, some worm damage, viewing advised.
A VICTORIAN GOTHIC OAK CHAIR having a pointed Gothic arch surmount with central pierced trefoil design between fruiting oak branches, the arched needlework padded back decorated with a knight under a triple arched doorway, the padded seat raised on substantial tapering square section legs with arched decoration, on tapering block feet. 129cm(h) Surmounts central finial depleted, finials possible associated, fading to needlework back with some wear, seat requires re-covering, marks scratches , edge knocks etc.
