1963 Heinkel Trojan Transmission: automaticMileage:28534The cars were built in Croydon UK by Trojan to the design of the Heinkel Kabine and using the reliable Heinkel four-stroke 198 cc engine. The car was advertised as having a top speed of 56mph and achieving 95mph but probably not both at the same time! The design was inspired by the original Italian Isetta but is much lighter and the steering wheel is in a fixed position. This rare four-wheel version was built in 1963 and registered in April of that year (60 years ago) for export to Holland and was repatriated in 2015 by the previous owner on the grounds of 'significant historical interest'. It is registered with the DVLA as an Historic Vehicle so MoT and Tax (payment) exempt. The car was confirmed as genuine and original by the Heinkel Trojan Archive Trust in May 2016. Certificate provided. The body had an earlier restoration and the paintwork is still in good condition with a couple of small dents which are difficult to see in most lighting conditions. The plexiglass (acrylic) windows were replaced in May 2023 and as this is a pre-1964 model the quarterlights (and windscreen) are real glass.Continuous restoration and maintenance from 2015 of the mechanical side include replacement clutch, braking system including new wheel cylinders and copper pipework, wheel bearings, king pins, axle-crank bearings, rebuilt front shock-absorbers, engine mounts, five tyres, silencer and battery (2022).The interior was completely refurbished in 2022 using the original fittings and looks great in tartan, the wiring is in good condition and the exterior chrome-work is good but there is some minor pitting. The excellent Heinkel Trojan Club in the UK supplies reasonably priced new and used parts to keep the car on the road. You will also find a friendly welcome at the HTC and regional microcar events.Documentation includes Heinkel Trojan Trust Certificate, V5C registration document, original owner's manual, illustrated Trojan Parts List, Workshop Manual, Heinkel Trojan Club's Members Handbook (130p), back issues of HTC Review and numerous receipts. Also included are the registration mark 'TRO 376', a fitted Pro-Tec rain cover, the stainless-steel rear luggage rack fitted without drilling additional holes, an original style scissor-jack and a spare wheel under the adjustable front seat. The car successfully completed the Classic London to Brighton (and back...150 miles) in 2017 and has taken part in a number of national and local events. It won the 'Second most desired Heinkel Trojan' at the National MicroCar Rally in 2019 - before the interior was refurbished. The heater pipe is currently sealed at the bulkhead due to past experience with exhaust derived heaters but the mechanism around the head is all in place for possible reconnection. A fun and striking car which brings smiles to all that glance over it.Interested parties should be aware that the Trojan runs and drives but the cable needs looking at for smoother gear selection.

1960 Triumph TR3A Transmission: manualMileage:55883The Triumph TR3 was built between 1955 and 1962 and was usually supplied as an open two-seater, although an occasional rear seat and bolt-on steel hardtop were available as extras. It was powered by a 1991cc engine which initially produced 95bhp increasing to 100bhp at 5000rpm. The four-speed manual transmission could be supplemented by an overdrive unit on the top three ratios electrically operated and controlled by a switch on the dash. In 1956, the front brakes changed from drum to disc becoming the first British series production car to do so. Because of these disc brakes, the TR3 became known for its superior braking ability, making it an autocross favourite.Presented in red with a desirable white hardtop, this magnificent example of the iconic British sportscar boats just four owners in its entire life. Offered with a large history file which contains information going back to 1985 when the second owner, a Mr. Howard purchased the car requiring full restoration. The engine was rebuilt with the crankshaft re-ground and new liners and pistons fitted, along with unleaded valve seats with new valves and new springs. An electronic ignition was fitted, and the gearbox completely overhauled with a new clutch for good measure. The front suspension was updated and braided hoses fitted alongside new side screens rebuilt with a matching hood and tonneau. The third owner fitted a front anti-roll bar, and all the suspension bushes were polybushed alongside narrow V-belt pullies (less friction) and alternator. The car then took part in numerous rallies such as the TR Register Pyrenees tour in 1995 and the Millennium Tour in 2000.In 2012, the car was completely stripped and painted by Bristol Classic & Sports Cars in Clevedon. Contained within the history file are approximately seven A4 size sheets of paper with 35 photographs per sheet recording the recommissioning in 2015, we believe this included twin choke Weber carburettors, servo brakes and electronic fuel pump before tuning on a rolling road. You will be pleased to know that the car comes with old logbooks, tax discs and the factory hardtop which was also restored in 2015.Looked after and cherished without regard to cost, this TR3A with overdrive performs amicably in rallies but would be equally at home on the road and the bills and invoices over the years add up to thousands and thousands. Supplied with a new tonneau cover along with the hardtop, this is a UK car with matching numbers and comes with a BMIH Trust Certificate.Interested parties should note that the hard top for this Lot requires new glass.

Lot 162

1929 MG PA to Q-Type Specification Transmission: manualMileage:2755The MG Q-Type is a racing car produced by MG in 1934. The chassis was based on the one used on the MG K3 but was narrower and used N-Type axles. The engine used the cylinder block from the P-Type but with a special crankshaft to bring the capacity down to 746cc by reducing the stroke. A high-pressure Zoller supercharger was fitted giving a boost to 2.5 atmospheres and allowing the engine to produce 113bhp at 7200rpm. A sprint version was also made with output increased to 146bhp which at nearly 200bhp per litre this figure was higher than any other racing engine in the world at that time and equated to over 200bhp per 1,000cc! To add stability at the inevitable high speeds, it was decided to increase the wheelbase and track on the basis that the extra power would more than compensate for the additional weight. The wheelbase was made the same as on the K3, and N-Type axles of 3' 9 track, with special 12 brake drums, were used.Regarded as the ultimate traditional overhead cam-engined MG Midget, it is thought only eight were made (Michael Sedgwick states nine) as the car was expensive at £550"“£650, and the rigid-axle chassis had difficulty in dealing with the power of the engine. In general layout the car followed the 1934 MG K3 very closely and inside elevation it is not easy to tell the two models apart. All eight Q-Types were originally fitted with very attractive open two-seat sports racing coachwork with a sloping, pointed tail and outside exhaust. The final track testing of the Q-Type was undertaken by Bill Everitt and on Whit Monday, 1934, he broke the Class H Brooklands Mountain lap record at 69.97mph, first time out. He then competed at a Donington Park race meeting, achieving a first place and two seconds. At Brooklands on August 1st, he broke the Standing Kilometer and Standing Mile records at 69.75 and 79.88mph respectively - this was a direct measure of the improvement of the Q-Type since these records were taken from E.R. Hall who had set them the previous year in an MG J4. In October 1934, Everitt raised the Mountain Lap record to 75.58mph in the Q-Type and the Standing Kilometer and Mile records to the remarkable figures of 75.42 and 85.59mph.The Q-Type bodied MG PA on offer today is presented in French Racing Blue and we ascertain from the large history file it was subject to a full photographic restoration in 2007. In stunning order and boasting the Volumex supercharger, during our vendors tenure the car has undergone significant expenditure to create what is a fabulous recreation of the Q-Type racer showing a body work akin to the days racing at Brooklands. This included the blower, the bespoke external handbrake, quick fill fuel caps , turned metal dash with dual chronograph clocks, Brooklands aero screens, aluminium foot plates and aluminium and rubber mats in the footwell. The bonnet straps and coachwork are as new likewise the trim sitting on wire wheels with bespoke tonneau and a fabulous fantail exhaust.Eligible we would believe for hill climbs and sprints, this would be a great drivers car and certainly one of the best looking examples in the paddock. Our vendor has moved abroad so can no longer enjoy thus viewing is strongly advised for a car that will be finding a new home. This is an exceedingly rare opportunity to purchase a stunning homage to one of the eight Q-Types and in fine condition. It is an extremely exciting road car as well as a competitive pre-war racing car.

Lot 224

2002 Porsche 911 / 996 Carrera 4S Transmission: manualMileage:75372The Porsche 911/996 Carrera 4S is fast becoming one of the most desirable 996 models, given its wide turbo body looks and still remaining very affordable in the modern classic world. It offers a thrilling driving experience and is powered by 3.6 litre flat-six engine, producing a highly respectable 316bhp. This engine was paired to either a six-speed manual transmission or an optional five-speed Tiptronic automatic. The car was also fitted with an all-wheel drive system, giving it excellent traction and handling in any conditions. The 996 Carrera 4S has a top speed of 174mph and a 0-60 time of just 4.8 seconds, making it one of the fastest cars in its class. This iconic Carrera 4S 911 is presented in Seal Grey with contrasting leather trim, a non-sunroof manual example of the widebody 996, this 4S is fast becoming a real favourite with collectors being a non turbo, manual widebody example of the first water cooled 911. This particular example presents excellently with little sign of the wear many other 996's suffer from, the body work is clean and the seat bolsters good perhaps due to having had just five previous owners. Recently fully serviced by Porsche Torque, this car has also had a bore scope test and shows no evidence of burning oil. The service booklet shows a further 10 services from Specialist PorschePurchased new on 13th April 2002, some 20 years ago now, this example was specified with an uprated Bose sound system and cost £63,443. South of the iconic Turbo S or GT3 models, this is seen as the true 996 drivers car, the rigidity of a non-sunroof coupé with the iconic 3.6 litre flat-six coupled to a manual gear box which is streaks ahead of the comparable Tiptronic all wrapped up in the turbo widebody.

Lot 259

1963 Morris 1100 Transmission: manualMileage:19637In 1962, a quite revolutionary new saloon was launched by BMC. With the codename ADO16 this new car was hot from the drawing boards of Alec Issigonis, who set out to design a larger and more sophisticated car which incorporated more advanced features and innovations, and the world-famous Italian design house Pininfarina. Offered in many guises by Innocenti, Morris, Riley, Wolseley, Vanden Plas and Austin, the ADO16 was truly universal in its appeal. In line with BMC's policy at the time, Austin badged versions of the ADO16 were built at Longbridge, whilst Morris and MG versions were assembled at Cowley.Originally registered on 13th June 1963, this lovely Morris 1100 presents in time warp condition and boasts just one former keeper, that first keeper until 2019. The Fiesta Yellow coachwork is in incredible order given its 60 years and the interior has a delightful patina which is certainly commensurate with such a low owner example, but for some tears in the driver seat which could be repaired it is in remarkable order. The chromework is very good and we are informed there has been no welding to the body presumably as the Morris 110 club member cherished this example. Supplied with a V5C registration document, we are informed the car was laid up between 2015 and 2019 prior to our vendor purchasing and recommissioning 823 FXM. The car is accompanied by a current MoT test certificate which is valid until 29th March 2024 with no advisories, even though the car is MoT exempt. The history file includes the vehicle and workshop manuals. This is a fabulous opportunity to purchase an iconic piece of British motoring history.Guide £6,000-£10,000

Lot 101

1985 Moto Guzzi V65 Lario Transmission: manualMileage:30630An engine design that originated in the early post-war years, Moto Guzzi's venerable 90-degree V-twin is still around today powering the company's latest generation of superbikes. Guzzi's transverse V-twin engine had been conceived to power a lightweight military three-wheeler intended for the Italian army, and only later was it re-assessed for possible motorcycle use. The V65 engine benefits from four-valves per cylinder, offering brisk performance. This outstanding Moto Guzzi has recently had a nut and bolt rebuild and as such presents in super condition. During the rebuild the V65 Lario was converted to a café racer style and a number of modifications were carried out. These included the fitment of an Electro Sport alternator, Dynatek electronic ignition and Motogadget M-Unit Bluetooth enabled control system. New front brake discs were fitted as well as new brake pads all round. The seat has been trimmed in leather by Silver Machine in Amsterdam. The gearbox was professionally rebuilt, the nett result of this extensive amount of work is a beautiful looking motorcycle which is on the button and ready to go. Supplied with a V5C registration document and a current MoT test certificate valid until 14th September 2023 together with a number of spare parts.Guide £4,500-£6,000
