Very rare: this small issue of Alexander tetradrachms comes from only two obverse dies. Ex Philip T. Ashton Collection. Newell attributed this small issue to Antigoneia, a city founded by Antigonus in 306 BC, but abandoned just five years later. For stylistic reasons Price would prefer an attribution to Seleuceia Pieria or Seleuceia ad Tigrum, under the rule of Seleucus I. aEF.
