A pair of Edwardian string inlaid mahogany bedroom chairs, with serpentine fronted padded seats. 83.5 cm with a seat height of 43 cm. CONDITION REPORT: Some marks and scratches, staining and fading and minor damages to the padded seats, some slightly loose joints, and movement to the structure.

Original vintage advertising poster in Swedish promoting celebrations of 500 year anniversary of Gavle, Gavle 500 Ar - Jubileumsustallning 24 Juni - 4 Augusti 1946 (21 June - 4 August 1946), with an artwork featuring a cog and landscape embedded within it, against a light blue background. Gavle is a city in Sweden, the seat of Gavle Municipality and the capital of Gavleborg County. It had 102 418 inhabitants in 2019, which makes it the 13th most populated city in Sweden. It is the oldest city in the historical Norrland (Sweden's Northern Lands), having received its charter in 1446 from Christopher of Bavaria. However, Gavle is far nearer the greater Stockholm region than it is to the other major settlements in Norrland. Very good condition, creasing. An unusually large early 20th century painted, planked and panelled pine long bench settle, having twin hinged seat compartments, each with zinc lined interiors, width 244cmCondition report: Seat height 65cm, height 104cm, depth 61cm. Settle is extremely heavy, and needs 4 people to lift it.
A Victorian green buttoned upholstered and brass studded two seater Chesterfield, raised on turned tapering forelegs, width 180cmCondition report: Stands well and appears overall structurally sound.Buttonback areas are well-worn and leather is crazed throughout.Other leather areas are probably replacement; colour is slightly darker and condition appears cleaner and more ‘fresh’.Upper stitching to leather panel at front is seat has come loose approx. 75% of the way along and requires repair.Studding and supports are good.
Complete BUS SEAT UNIT comprising frame, cushion, squab and two pairs of legs. The cushion and squab have been upholstered in new London Transport Routemaster moquette with suitable leather finishing on the edges. NB: In the pictures, the squab and legs are just balanced for the photographs and not fully assembled in the correct positions. [1 unit]
2 rolls (approx 50 metres) of brand-new London Transport SEAT MOQUETTE as used on DMS, MB, SM etc buses and 1972 Tube Stock. Commissioned by Misha Black in 1965 and designed by Marianne Straub, the blue/green moquette was originally intended for the Victoria Line 1967 Tube Stock but wasn't ready in time. The rolls are in original packaging as delivered by the manufacturer. [approx 50 metres]
