Provenance: The chair with a label stating ""This chair of the Napoleonic Period belonged to Princess Murat and was presented to the Bournemouth Natural Science Society by Field Marshal Lord Grenfell, GCB, GCMG, FSA, being a part of his Napoleonic Collection. February 1920"". Princess Marie Antoinette Murat was the niece of Joachim Murat, King of the Two Scillies from 1808 to 1815 and brother-in-law to Napoleon through marriage to Napoleon`s youngest sister, Caroline Bonaparte.
