An early to mid 20th century Chinese hardwood and black lacquered open armchair, with curved arms and single rectangular splat, rectangular flat seat with stylised cloud scroll apron, raised on plain column legs joined by peripheral stretchers, decorated all over with birds and flowering chrysanthemum blossoms, 67 by 50 by 103cm high.
An 18th century stained oak ladder back country side chair, with five graduating shaped splats, low height leather seat (34.5cm from floor), raised on turned supports and stretchers, 49 by 36 by 93cm high, together with an oak plant stand, a wall cabinet, 42 by 18 by 63cm high, a double piano stool, 95 by 36 by 54cm high, and an oval print of a 19th century child. An oak stool by Peter Heap "Rabbit Man of Wetwang Driffield" with kidney shaped seat and carved trademark rabbit to higher relief on side, raised upon three splayed faceted tapering legs. 30 cm x 36.5 cm CONDITION REPORTS The single back leg is loose and comes out. The front left leg is ill fitting but stuck. There is some staining and discolouration to the seat as well as to the legs, especially at the bottom, as though it has been in the damp. There is some splitting to the wood on the seat. General wear and tear, to include knocks, scuffs, scratches etc. Please see images for examples.
A 19th Century child's yew wood and elm stick back rocking armchair, the shaped seat on baluster turned supports united by C scroll rockers CONDITION REPORTS All over some light scratches, marks, dark marks, impressed marks, etc throughout. Rockers are not symmetrical. Wear and tear throughout. It is not known whether rockers are original, presumed not. Front is broken and repaired. One of back legs also repaired.
