Ford Motor Company 75th Anniversary sterling silver 1913 model T. Ford official commemorative edition no. 28 - embellished with 24ct gold, the model demonstrates painstaking attention to detail, with many moving parts - opening hood and doors, removable front seat to reveal access to the petrol tank and a complete set of tools. This particular example was made for L. S. Eaves Ltd. Stoke by Nayland, Colchester and bears their number plate LSE 123 and has the original documentation and certificated authenticity. Commissioned by Ford Motor Company in 1978 from Garrard & Co. Ltd. to mark the 75th Anniversary of the company. The handmade 1/10 scale replica was limited to 1000 Worldwide with five hundred only being allocated to Europe. Hallmarked London 1978 Garrard & Co. Ltd. Early 18th century eight day marquetry longcase clock with 11 inch square brass and silvered dial, signed - Wm. Grimes, London, crown and cherub spandrels, subsidiary seconds and date aperture, ringed winding holes, eight day movement with pinned turned pillars, striking on a bell with repeat, in walnut marquetry inlaid case decorated with spiral-twist columns to hood, with vase of flowers and birds, lenticle glass to door, on bracket feet, 107cm high x 40cm wide (pendulum, key and weights present) CONDITION REPORT General overall condition is good. Movement is actually 6 pillar with latched front plate. Movements dirty but we believe it to be in working order, now wired 110 gut. Dial is clean and appears to be original to the movement, hands are worn, second hand maybe a replacementCase is in quite good condition, veneer is lifting on lower right side towards the back. Plinth has been altered and some of marquetry pattern lost. Backboard has been alteredHood was originally rising, now altered to slide on and off with hinged door. Top possibly repaired or replaced and now covered with material. Original cresting rail missingMovement fits but cheeks have either been repaired on the front or extended. Seat board corners have been cut out behind dial. Also face sits on two nailsIt is difficult to say whether or not the case and movement are original to each other. There is no dial mark, but face appears to fit properly behind the door
Heavy carved Oak framed Lodge chair with leather arms and seat padded with horse hair. Brass triangular plaque at the head of the chair reads "Presented to Ye Goodwin Lodge No 6349 R.A.O.B by Mrs W M Goodwin in Perpetual memory of her Husband, Brother H E Goodwin, After whom this lodge was named. 9 - 11 - 1928"
A brocaded peach satin robe, Moroccan, early 20th century, the chest panels with elaborate silver embroidery and gold braid, woven with blooms and scrolling ribbons CONDITION REPORT: Peach satin is faded in places - mainly shoulder, sleeve top and sides. Slight wear to fabric on chest. Slightly soiled generally, would benefit from cleaning. 2 approx 1cm holes in brocade rear seat area. Small spot stains in this area also. Large stain to inside left chest lining, otherwise small spot stains.
A Wolmershausen lady's riding habit, circa 1880, the printed trade label stating 'Military Tailor and Habit Maker, to Her Majesty, the Prince Regent and the Royal Family, 14 Curzon St', the streamlined short wool bodice edged in black braid, with domed silk buttons, short rear tails and matching side-saddle skirt, bust, 81cm, 32in, waist 61cm, 24in; together with a lightweight grey challis sports or walking suit for summer, early 1890s, double breasted with silk covered buttons, matching skirt, bust 81cm, 32in, waist 51cm, 20in (4)Provenance: Caroline Littlewood CONDITION REPORT: Navy 1880 habit is good condition, very fresh, slight wear to lining of skirt. Wear to inside waistband lining band, remains of inked name possibly Miss Marriot? Occasional speckling of small moth holes over skirt but not particularly noticeable or serious. There is a strange panel of cotton lining (presumably just for the seat area) which looks incomplete? Jacket is good, slight wear to cover on one button, missing lowest button, exterior generally is good, splits in places to lining, mainly neck, waist and underarm areas. Sports/walking suit it has lots of holes and wear, lovely shape but fair condition only. Jacket silk covering on one set of buttons are worn. Frayed areas on short left lapel, splitting at underarms, slight wear to silk covers on tail bottom, slight thinning centre back, slight moth damage below neck. Internally good as brown cotton lining. Skirt has scattering of moth damage generally on both sides.
A whitework embroidered muslin dress, circa 1810, empire-line, long sleeves, the bodice with pulled and drawn threadwork, the bodice with fruiting vines; together with an ivory satin gown c.1820-25 with puff sleeves; and a whiteworked cotton gown c.1825-8 with elaborately frilled whitework hem (3)Provenance: Caroline Littlewood CONDITION REPORT: ·All with wear or repairs·Dress with vines: numerous darned repairs, most notably approx. 6 at front bodice the largest 2x1cm. Patch repair to front hem 3cm square, and at rear hem 8x2cm. 8cm split here also.·Cotton gown: 9cm split to centre front bodice and at left cuff along whiteworked edge approx. 7cm. Two triangular splits/cuts in front skirt, 4cm split in whitework at front hem and scattering of small holes. Small darned repairs at rear hem. Fraying along shoulder seam edges.·Satin gown or under-dress: hole and 2 small splits to bodice front, silk is starchy to handle - probably washed and ironed! 2cm diam hole and small split to rear hem. Faint soil mark around seat area. Overall fresh appearance.
