A pair of Victorian 17thC style oak high back carver chairs, carved with a shield, Prince of Wales feathers, floral and foliate scroll motifs, leaf carved scrolling arms, over stuffed seat and padded arms, raised on turned and carved legs united by an X frame stretcher on pad feet, 143.5cm H, 66cm W, 60cm D.
19TH CENTURY GOTHIC STYLE YEW AND ELM WINDSOR ARMCHAIR having pointed arch back with pierced splats, moulded elm saddle seat on cabriole front legs with pierced corner angles and crinoline stretcher. Probably Thames valley.(B.P. 24% incl. VAT) CONDITION REPORT: In good condition, nicely patinated, no obvious damage. Minor wear and tear as expected.

19TH CENTURY WELSH PRIMITIVE STICK BACKED FIRESIDE ELBOW CHAIR in mixed woods with elm seat on turned legs. 68cm wide. Together with another 19th Century primitive stick back chair having rectangular moulded sycamore seat on four turned legs. (2)(B.P. 24% incl. VAT) CONDITION REPORT: The bow backed chair has some damage to the top rail with losses, split to the seat, basically sound. The other chair is sound but has evidence of old worming in the seat.
UNUSUAL WELSH PRIMITIVE CHILD'S CHAIR OR BACK STOOL having pierced splat to the back with bentwood arms, solid seat on four turned legs. Probably 18th Century. (B.P. 24% incl. VAT) CONDITION REPORT: Appears in good original condition. No obvious restoration. One horizontal bar is split. Splits to solid seat in places. Nice colour and patination. Grubby.

VAT) CONDITION REPORT: Structurally sound with no obvious sideways movement. Heavy wear in places, scuffs and marks commensurate with age.

VAT) CONDITION REPORT: Many of the chairs have lost their drop finials which have broken off and are not present. Otherwise all chairs are structurally sound, some shrinkage splits to the seats in places but all in useable condition overall. Set of eight George III and later mahogany dining chairs in the Chippendale style, each with pierced vase-shaped splat and serpentine-shaped stuffover seat, on internally chamfered square channel-carved legs - to include a pair of carvers CONDITION REPORT basically George III, suggestion of some possible replaced elements, stretchers etc. Nature of upholstery means unable to examine seat rails. One chair has breaks to top rail at joints with uprights, several are braced by screws at bottom of splat, another chair has splits and losses to back rail at base of splat, elsewhere there are some small losses to mouldings and basically wear and tear. Upholstery is damaged to one elbow and some general staining although apart from the covering the upholstery appears to be in good order, chairs are mostly structurally ok, joints tight
